Religious education at the tender age fr Christians and Muslims gradually make them reclusive and highly inaccessible to any other entities or values cherished by any other religion whereas if Hindu values are taught and inculcated at the tender age itself, they can defend their values, tolerate other values as it is not against any values and contribute t world harmony. In Dharma there is supposed to be a balance between the various aspirations of Life - Those who would strive after the Divine wholly and solely; those who would defend society and the wronged even by violence; those who would keep the economic life of the society prosperous; and those who would create material things like temples and other buildings. With the civilizational decadence which set in before the Middle Ages (European) and continued during the barbaric invasions, Indian society was led to believe that the sole ideal was the "Bhraminical ideal" of only striving after the Divine and the other three aspects of society were neglected and even came to be despised . Guru Govind Singh was able to revert back to the Kshatrya Tradition which he stressed and brought back some dignity to India. What is needed in India now is the reversion back to the older tradition and especially recapture the Kshatrya Tradition. This is happening, but it needs to be articulated so as to be easily grasped by the population.

My dear Madhuji , Mahabharata 3,500 years ago was a Kshyatrian society with it's martial codes of conduct is a thing of the past. Today it is a different. We Hindus are still living in the past. We need to protect our dharma with military protection. We have become softies "thanks" to Budhha's wrong interpretation of Ahimsa, followed by Shankaacarya's mayavada theory which divorced us Indians from the practical approach to life. Then came the hypocritical Gandhiji who emasculated our whole nation by repeating Buddha's finterpretation of total non violent ahimsa that destroyed our national sentiment and Ksyhatrian spirit. Today we are a confused people. Our leaders are busy fighting amongst themselves due to their party politics and with personal power interests. We should also not believe that reviving the outdated Vedic teachings can save India. We should retain and maintain many good aspects of these teachings and its theories regarding cosmology etc. They do not reflect our Indian Civilisation in its totality. I believe the Tantras and teachings of Shiva reflected via Astaunga Yoga, which had great impact on the formation of the Indus civilisation is very conveniently left out due to our lack of knowledge of this giant personality's influence and impact on the subterranean Indian minds, culture and civilisation. If we go to the east and south of India we see the influence of this great Adideva's influence. Islamic wave, when it reached India, after crossing Persia was weakened. One thing we need to admit is the Islamic invaders eventually settled in India and become sons of the soil. Today that is being changed due to their Hadith decree by violent fundamentalists, to change India into a Islamic caliphate. You are right we are to fight like Guru Gobind Singh. This was the key teaching of Lord Krsna to Arjuna. When all else fails, then physical fight is to be waged. As the last speaker quoted Chanakya rightly from Artha Shastra. Jai Bharat !

Our culture is begging us to demean it; mock it; and criticize it. So, it deserves to be and it should be. Otherwise it will get destroyed. There's no one scripture to tell us to that or not to do that with a clear demarcation. In Bible, you have Old Testament which shows the God as brutal, violent, and envious being and guided people to invade and occupy other lands and culture during the first few centuries CE. In the New Testament (Son of) God is a shown as apparently a benevolent being but with intentions to encourage slavery and destabilizing other cultures. The Christian Missionaries use the same strategy till date. In Islam you can find *some* benevolent verses which were written before the Hijira which were then abrogated after that and more violent lines were included. Above all, the popes, bishops and maulvis were teaching their followers to adopt them according to the time. Instead we have many books to confuse us. And our Gurus barring a few, were discussing some impractical and immaterial philosophies while their followers were getting their throats slit. Our kings were busy fighting with each other when the enemies were looting our land and raping our women. Even worse, our kings were aiding our enemies so that another king of our own.
