I really appreciate the detail you put into this video, including what's missing, what mm bolts are in place (or not). Your camera focus is on point (kudos to the maker there). Your knowledge really shines through. You might be my first ever "I need to like and subscribe to this guy" I've ever said aloud. Thank you again for the video and excellent commentary.

How do you know when it is filled up and how do you get the air out at the end?
@s33therfan2 жыл бұрын
It holds close to 3 gallons , I like to fill it with a big funnel and try and work the air out that way. Sometimes its difficult to get the air out without actually driving it , around the block short trips. After it cools release the air and add more coolant. Thanks for watching.

Good video, concise and to the point. Sometimes the electrical connectors can be a bugger. It's tight in there. I learned the hard way that the plastic radiators from most auto parts stores are *utter garbage.* Had to replace them twice within about 30 months. Dunno if I'll sell this last warranty replacement POS or keep it as a backup just in case.

@@s33therfan You're very welcome. Good that you have a link to a decent radiator. Might want to add another affiliate link to CARiD, from whom I had ordered a good, all metal Denso radiator prior to watching this for far less than the junk ones from the big box auto parts stores cost.

Very helpful. I've got a leak somewhere on my '06 and you can hear it hissing when its hot. Hopefully can locate the leak (possibly due to the fan?) and repair it with a liquid metal product or similar. Thanks!!!

Many people ask to use HOAT coolant, specifically the Zerex g05 or mopar oem coolant, what's your thoughts on that?
@s33therfan3 жыл бұрын
Personally I just use the green stuff that mixes with anything. I really don't believe there is much difference in any of it , but that is just me. Basically if I am starting with all fresh I will use the green but if it has any special type I am adding I will put that , just so as not to mix between any. Great question , I appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching.

@@s33therfan My van(recently bought) has a massive radiator leak so it had no coolant when I checked. I thought I saw remnant of some green coolant but not sure. I know mixing coolant is not good but I will probably do a flush but debating on using the original or the generic off the shelf coolant. Anyway thanks for the reply and keep up the videos! This and your oil pan gasket replacement for this van will really help me out.

@@TaijiArban Generic coolant from Autozone or Walmart or Amazon Basics. Its pretty much all identicle (unless your vehicle uses some fancy type) In fact, Walmart and Amazon Basics generic Super Tech oil, are better than many name brand oils. Project Farm has many videos showing oil performance on many types.
