When is the best time to seed millet for grazing. Seems like it would mature way too early. Be tough to seed it around here later in summer when moisture is gone

Hey Wally, early to mid June is best when there is very little risk of frost. Warm season plants are very efficient with moisture and therefore will produce well with less rain than a cool season plant.

@@covercropcompany thanks. Yeah I grew 20 acre chunk of red proso millet last year. Had some good rains. It made 2.5 (1300 pound) bales per acre. Seeded early May though. Took 3 weeks for it to dry down for baling though
