Got a tree like that too, its been hanging there for a few weeks already. I think i need to pull it off the stump

Ughh, that does not sound fun at all. Is it fully detached or still have some hinge wood? I have not had to address such a situation yet but know it will eventually happen. Do you plan on using pulleys? Sensing prayers that the next time you check on that tree it has fallen off your to-do list! Keep us posted, please! Better two section off than be dead is the inner battle i'd be contemplating. Im sure there is a simple trick that someone knows. - James

In the forest shepherding, I've been instructed, it is wise to give some of the trees in your forest more space to grow. The trees in my old growth forest are very tall because they need to be to reach the light. Some trees are too close together, so when harvesting wood, those trees are amongst the first choice to select. The remaining trees can now significantly increase their foliage and growth. - James

Figured something like that. I have some trees like that but usually cut them down and go back later to get the firewood. Are you thinking about a sawmill?@@strand-farm
