You can well see that the chicks grow well and be healthy. They also come a lot more out of the hot zone of the lamps. Fine that everything goes well.

I help a local egg farm sell eggs at one of the local farmers' markets. We pasture raise our hens and I've had customers ask why we feed the layers grain. What would you say to a customer with that question?

I need something very similar and think i'll give your approach a go. A touch more detail would however have been useful. for instance is the floor sloped and is there a gate valve or similar to empty? very useful nonetheless :)
