Randy Travis is a country music legend. There's just something about his voice that draws you in. He has never needed outrageous antics to entertain because him singing is enough. And he has so many songs. Anything by him is incredible. He also sings some of his classics with Josh Turner and they sing Josh's song 'Long Black Train'. I really suggest listening to them together, they sound amazing. Unfortunately, Randy Travis has had some serious health issue, going all the way back to 2013.

3 Wooden Crosses. Is a must. On July 7, 2013, Travis was admitted to a Dallas-area hospital for viral cardiomyopathy after a viral upper respiratory infection. His condition was classified as critical. Three days later, Travis suffered a massive stroke, then underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. He was only 54.

You did react to one of his songs about a year ago: "Three Wooden Crosses" Randy Travis is truly an OG. He has suffered the past few years overcoming a stroke that affected his speech and ability to communicate. One of the all-time favorite country stars of the '80s and '90s. In spite of the devastating effects of his stroke and brain surgery, he has continued to make music.

I have always loved this song since it first came out in 1987.When it came out, it was part of the Neo Country music movement that started in the 1980s that featured such artists as The Judds,K.D. Lang,Alan Jackson , Garth Brooks,Brooks and Dunn and many more. It has such a nice melody and beautiful lyrics.Randy Travis has a wonderful voice that is perfectly suited for Country music but I also loved his cover version recording of Brook Benton''s "It's Just a Matter of Time".If you haven't heard it you should check it out.He recorded it as part of a Rock n' Roll and R&B 10 song collection album entitled "Rock,Rhythm & Blues" and was included in his album entitled "No Holdin' Back". Like the woman he sings about in this song, I will always love it "forever and forever ".

G'day boys, I'm pretty sure you've done at least one RT, I think it was "Three Wooden Crosses". Here's also a few to add to the list, "Diggin' Up Bones"; "On The Other Hand"; "Mama Tried"; "I Told You So",,,all are great and he has a very distinctive voice, doesn't sound like anyone else... Randy has also done the odd bit of acting over the years. He was in a couple of episodes of Touched By An Angel and also co-starred in"Black Dog" with Patrick Swayze and Michael Lee-Aday aka Meatloaf... Unfortunately he no longer works after suffering a severe stroke about 10 or so years ago... life can be a cruel bugger...🥺 🙃🐨🇦🇺

Okay guys so a year ago you guys reacted to Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis, you've reacted to him before. Search your own channel, he's there, the reaction got 766 likes and 249 comments about how good Randy was. And Josh Turner came up idolizing Randy Travis, they have very similar voices, and they do an amazing duet live of this song. Then Scotty McCreery (who I don't think you've reacted to yet and you should) came up, has the same similar deep baritone voice, idolizing Josh Turner, etc. There are 3 generations of incredible male vocalists who sing like this with that deep Baritone timbre, awesome technique and have a great range. Unfortunately Randy had a massive Stroke a few years back and can no long sing, but he is able to walk again and is gaining his voice back to be able to speak some. Randy Travis IS a country music Legend and just a great human being. Really hope you'll check out the Josh Turner/Randy Travis duet of this song Live, it's amazing. ❤

When I first heard Randy I didn't know what to think. He was obviously extremely talented and truly a super star, but he was kinda an acquired taste for me personally. When I first heard him I was in college taking classical vocal training so the nasally sound that I picked up on, turned me off. But the songs were so well written and catchy that I learned to appreciate the voice. For having that nasally sound he keeps on tune incredibly well! When he deactivates, it is evident that it is on purpose, for a purpose, and he comes back to center with such precision! Great reaction!

Pretty great breakdown of his overall vocals. I can see how that nasal quality that sits in the middle of his range might annoy some. But I kept hearing effortless pitch perfection, and all kinds of manipulation of the sound envelope that sounded effortless, but was absolutely intentional. In this song I was nerding out on it a bit. - Keith
