@@barry7920agreed. This is real country. Like Dolly Parton and many of the original country artists. Now it’s all flag and love of America which I do love America but the country music sounds the same.

Brit, you really should check out Randy's songs when he first hit the country charts back around 1985-87. He was in his early to mid twenties and his voice was much stronger and deeper. I grew up on country but stopped listening to it in the mid to late seventies. Randy Travis is who brought me back to country music. A good story song from Randy I think you would like to hear is called Digging Up Bones. Of course, all of his songs are worth listening to. Plus, two country female groups (that are not reacted to) are the Forester Sisters (actually sisters) and The Sweethearts of the Rodeo. Forester Sisters songs Mama's Never Seen Those Eyes, Men, Dixie Man, Too Many Rivers, so many more. Sweethearts of the Rodeo songs Midnight Girl Sunset Town, Blue to the Bone, Get Rhythm, Satisfy You, so many more.

Randy was good friends with George Jones, who could also take a one syllable word and make it 5 syllables. what he did at the end of the song is something George Jones would do. He wrote a good song when George passed called "Tonight I Am Playing Possum" as a tribute to George who everyone called "The possum". loving your reactions. When this song came out a little girl with cancer heard it and she sent a letter to Randy thanking him for letting her know people would still love her with all her hair gone and it made her feel better ...music has a way of giving us what we need at times when even we don't know what we need...music connects us on a level that has no boundaries of faith, race or physical differences to cloud are senses...a world without music would be a sad place indeed....Karl from Canada

In Hebrew it's closer to "aw-mane", but I'm at home with both "ah-men" and "ay-men." I'm also going to pitch for Randy's song "Raise Him Up" again, it's a fantastic song with a great message. Play the music video as opposed to a live performance, the music video in this instance is really the best choice.
