S5 ep7 motorhoming in France - Villandry , La Flèche and dogs worming for travel back to UK

The trials and tribulations of travelling with dogs means finding places to visit that allow them in and also vets to carry out required procedures for onward travel to UK etc. This week we stay one night at cinq Mars La pile as the camping car park at Villandry was full and we wanted to visit the chateau there. There is not much to say about cinq Mars La pile and was as Dave said ‘disappointing’. Yet again it was closed due to some event and this seems to be the motto of the trip - places, shops, etc closed due to bank holiday or other town related days or camp sites full. We have never had a problem before this trip but are realising now we probably should read up on a place for current events taking place. Forewarned is forearmned as they say.
From here we did stay and look around Villandry. The dogs were allowed in the garden and grounds and we had a great half a day exploring. This was worth the visit.
From Villandry we headed to La Flèche and the municipal site there which was good for the money and facilities. The town was ok but are reason for going was a recommendation of the vet there do our dogs could have their worming done prior to return to the UK. The price was the same as every other vet we have been to (48€ for the two including the tablets). However, this vet did not check over the dogs nor actually administered the tablets (just gave them to us and said he was sure we would give the tablets to the dogs) but happily signed the passports that he had. Obviously the first thing we did once outside was give the dogs the worming tablets. Not too sure we were happy with the vet in the end.
