Hi. After some training and practice Diva is fine with the coho trailer now. Do you have any tips on removing the rattle that seems to come from the spring suspension?

Hi how much was the ferry’s and how many hours is the ferry to Italy thanks

Hi - the ferry cost €364.10 from Greece to Italy and we left around 5pm and arrived at around 10am. We did the camping on board option which we found fine but our friends didn’t get a good night sleep as it also docks in igouminista to pick up other vehicles and they were parked closer to the rear and also on the edge and it did get a bit rough sailing across.

Patras to Bari - it was the same price igouminista to Bari. It was out of season (right at the end of October) and we booked it a couple of weeks before - I know a couple of weeks to sail beforehand they were fully booked and presumably price would be higher and not sure if they run throughout the winter months.

can I ask why you use the motorways ? the A {N} roads are great and traffic free generally
@Doggonemotorhomeadventures
@Doggonemotorhomeadventures 5 ай бұрын
Hi we generally try to get to the warmth of Spain as quick as possible when we go Feb/March time (and also sometimes meet up with our friends so have little time to wander down through France). On our return leg we spend time meandering through France and use the smaller roads so it depends on what we are doing.

@@davidmatthews3093 agree non motorway routes are better and we try to avoid them on the return leg. We do use the n10 which is a great road and we have previously done the d910 but all the roundabouts put us off that route. Each time is an adventure so welcome suggestions.

Thank you. We did have 3 different ’satnav’ running - the one in the vehicle, google maps and co-pilot. And they always differ with the route at the crucial moment. Dave always tries to pre-plan routes whereas Tiff is always ad hoc which inevitably goes wrong. But then Tiffany doesn’t normally drive 🤦‍♀️

Thanks for watching. The issues were very stressful and the ferry we caught just amplified our stress unfortunately. We had done this route many times and was usually 4 hour crossing. However when it’s later in the day, as it goes dark the ferry slows, it was in fact a 51/2 hour crossing. There were also way more motorhomes on board than ever before and we had only earmarked the Dieppe ferry. So the stresses just kept on coming.

Great video! I have been using a regular trailer covered. I guess the only issue with open trailer would be the dog might get some dirt on his eyes from the rear tire. As I travelled with my dog, I noticed on a rainy day or dirt road, he had to deal with splash/dirt from rear tire unless he faces backward. Other than that, the single wheel trailer can be a lot more safer on corners! Thank you for the video!

Thank you. We got her some doggles to protect her eyes and she didn’t mind wearing them at all. We all loved if for a year or so and better for narrower trails. However, We now use the burley tail wagon with added suspension for both dogs as I had an accident and no longer felt safe enough to manage the single wheel trailer. Great for smaller dogs but under 18kg but a bit more of a handful for 20+kg dogs I decided following non bike related accident and injury. Added suspension for the trailer is a must for us Enjoy biking with your dog

How difficult was it to obtain an EU Pet passport for your dogs ? Maybe you can do a video on it.
@Doggonemotorhomeadventures
@Doggonemotorhomeadventures 10 ай бұрын
Hi we got their eu pet passport originally whilst in Spain. Booked appointment with vets in Nerja who spoke English fairly well. Took about half hour max for the two dogs. You just need an address to give them to put on the passport (we used family’s address who live out there so this was easy for us but I know others have used the campsite where they were staying as an address). The rabies vaccine was only for a year so we renewed it when in Germany for 3 year vaccination. Again really easy just booked and took dogs - in and out within 15 mins. I recall both times being about 30 euros per dog. I think it is more difficult to get an eu pet passport in France though as the dog I believe need to be registered. I have also heard that most Spanish vets will issue the passport and done do provide the 3 year vaccine but further south in Spain the less likely to have 3 year one
@davidmatthews3093
@davidmatthews3093 3 ай бұрын
Technically the dog needs to have been in the EU for more than 90 days. Some vets buck the system and you always stand the chance of being taken to task either entering or leaving the Schengen zone.
