Another awesome desert and canyon hike... Those who live there among the cliffs were some hardy people!!!

A most stimulating adventure Amos. There were so many avenues to go down, take a look in and withdraw from - no doubt looking back just to remind yourself oh how awesome the place was. I don;t blame you for not filtering the water you first came across. A bit risky! Enjoyed all of that. Mark

Loved the edit. I did the loop last October and really enjoyed the area.

Thanks TBB :) How was the water sourcing in October? Did you take time to get south of the confluence? Is it just me or was the ledge walk in Owl Canyon the sketchiest part?

@@BackpackerDiaries I went days after a rain storm so luckily water was plentiful. We went a few miles South of and also went up McCloyd. I agree, though I felt safe it was pretty gnarly. Looking forward to visiting again later in the year.

Amazing area, I've wanted to do that loop for quite some time.

Both canyons are probably brimming with life this spring given our extra precipitation this year. Thanks Korbin for watching and commenting!

The wild life noises are frogs. In the mid 80's there were some that sounded like screaming women. True, not putting you on. So we called them screaming Woman frogs.
