Another great tutorial. Your English is much more clear and easy to understand. Your teaching skills are better than native English speakers.

This video is so underappreciated! I have never seen an example before where anyone brings such a clear artist's intent to a photo! Working with a palette rather than just moving a few sliders and see what happens! Thanks for the inspiration, Boris!

Once again another really helpful video - just a question, do you know why the bottom section is labelled power not midtones?
@s7habo Жыл бұрын
The "4 ways" tab in color balance RGB module is a derivative of color grading standard (ASC CDL) which is used in film industry: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASC_CDL Unlike other sliders, the power function affects the *entire* dynamic range with emphasis on mid-tones.

Thanks again. An excellent explanation of how to use Color Balance RGB. Where can we get that log scale Grey image that you used so that we can have a practice?
@s7habo3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Stephen! I don't offer my raw files from videos because, among other things, I don't think there's much to be gained by simply mimicking the process. Much better to take your own samples to practice the technique. If you need raw files and want to practice, you have at discuss.pixls.us/c/processing/playraw/30 some nice raw files available. There you can practice nicely and also present your own processing to the others.

I need to watch again at a slower speed. I had difficulty seeing what you were adjusting and had to keep zooming in to the right side the zoom out again to see what had changed. Even so I can see the power in these techniques.

why they called it “global” when it influences only shadows (and more than the shadow slider itself does)?

@s7habo3 жыл бұрын
