just bought one of these just out of curiosity and although i kinda like it i must say that i can only focus the videos only if i open the cover and i put the phone about an inch off , it would have been nice if there was a way to zoom in an out somehow and just like you say it doesn't really feel like you are completely immerse in the environment in fact it feels like you are wearing a scuba diving mask

RITECH Virtual Reality 3D Glasses II with Meizu M2 Note: 1) The lenses do not put the image in focus. I had to apply two lenses taked from two small magnifying lenses. 2) Smartphone does not lock if it has a cover not smooth. I had to apply four pieces of sponge closed cell to fix it. 3) The viewer door is not secure. I had to fix it with two velcro strips. 4) The nose is pressed by the viewer. I had to paste a neoprene layer in place of the sponge. 5) Magnet not compatible with my smartphone. I do not need it. 6) The sponge of the forehead is not washable. Do not let it use to those who sweat a lot Now all is perfect, but too many adjusts to fix.

IamChacko You can download the apps and try them out without the VR viewer. If your device stutters or lags with games like "A chair in a room" then it's up to you if you upgrade your device or skip out the whole VR fad.

Do you see black edges at the sides plz? And roughly how many degrees do u see FOV? (2 most important features of note) I have a VIGICA and a few others and something immediately stands out and thats the black edge goggle vision and it doesn't trick the brain enough for full emotion. Occulus AND Morpheus have this problem which i hope they address otherwise its just a gimmick - Wheras the claire12mm has full horizontal view and the upcoming claire 22mm will have the vertical lines eliminated. Its frustrating because i own a ps4 and it wont be full VR if they have black edges

Yh seems the norm, ah well, i got the freeflyVR and wow im very happy, its leagues ahead of the rest, its 120degrees with the edges wayyy outa the way, its not perfect but it more FOV than occulus and Morpheus (unless those companies really step up the i fear its 2017 for the StarVR which boasts over 210degree full FOV for the REAL VR experience)

How is the Video Quality ? Is this give you a real IMAX feeling or the quality of video compromises ?

MIKE GALLY the video quality depends on the phone you use with the headset. For instance, the S6 with higher resolution screen will provide a better picture than if your using a phone just with normal HD display. You don't get real IMAX feeling, also with Samsungs VR you don't get that. And just like with Samsungs VR glasses, you can also notice a small black border around the picture here.

+Johnny Appleseed Much better, believe me. I have cardboard (since it only cost me about a dollar and a half, was curious. It's very unimmersive, I agree. You can see borders and it's not perfect quality and it's just a bit hard to deal with overall. But I have had the opportunity to try out the Oculus Rift at Gamescom 15, and that really was enjoyable. I played the Edge of Nowhere demo and that was REALLY fun. The Oculus encloses around your eyes so that you don't see the real world (like with cardboard) or any borders, and you actually see a full POV screen. I could look around 360 degrees and it really felt nice. Don't let this have turned you away from VR, cause it's really great. Hope you read that!

Need help creating/finding cardboard profile for Ritech RIEM2 I purchased a plastic cardboard from www.ebay.com/itm/RIEM-2-Virtual-Reality-VR-Headset-3D-IMAX-Plastic-Video-Glasses-For-iPhone-6-6-/231531902670 Unfortunately, it doesn't come with QR Code for setting up card board profile. Found nothing on www.ritech3d.co and bundled manual. I tried using www.google.com/get/cardboard/viewerprofilegenerator to generate qr code. I measured Inter-lens distance to be 79 mm, Screen to lens distance to be approximately 60 mm. Zero distortion. After I tried profile using those values, cardboard apps render things too big, and left and right section of my phone screen (Note 4) are misaligned to create 3D visual. screen to lens 52 mm inter-lens distance 61 mm FOV all 68 degrees seem to work pretty well. But I don't think this is optimal settings.

I bought it. It looks the same. And I agree it's very comfortable, the design and built construction is nice. But it simply doesn't work. Using google Cardboard. I just see two pictures, one with each eye and that's all. There's no 3D. :/ And I can't find another app for it. And I got different instructions, in English, apparently shorter and without those QR codes

+Enric Sensecognom - if no 3D effect, then you have setup the app wrong. The 3D effect is made by the app not by the headset. The headset just shows what your phone shows via the Google Cardboard app. Try to reinstall Google Cardboard app or try KZbin and activate Google Cardboard inside the app on the phone and search for some 360 videos on KZbin that are supported by Google Cardboard. Be sure you also use a compatible phone for Google Cardboard.

Yes, I try the sample videos and whatever I get after putting the QR code. And I simply see two pictures, one in the left and one the right, one is a bit over the other but it doesn't make a 3D effect at all. The product is brand new and looks just like yours. I don't understand why it's failing
