Anc must give up the idea that they are capable of governing sa. They must stop destroying the country while they push their losing agenda. The da must be included in governing sa for the benefit of all the ppl in sa. Only the best ppl must be appointed to run the country. Anc only appointed poor ministers with little or no experience.

The black community dont care about how the ANC governs or what Jacob did to SA, the voting pattern shows every voting period. If they did then SA would have another government in place long time ago..sadly they vote on race not competence and or lets select the best for SA

How’s it your business what the black community does?
@maxido25125 ай бұрын
Black community has shown that they are done with voting for the ANC, the drop in the ANC results is as the result of the black community being gatvol with the ANC. The black community has also shown that they don’t buy into EFF ideology hence the decline in EFF results. They so called “different government” I’ll assume DA have refused to listen to the black community’s issues and concerns. We blacks who have access to information know how we get insulated in the comments sections of these platforms day in and day out and we take the message to our communities and tell them that even if the DA is not racist part the DA supporter leave a lot to be desired…you just proven that. The biggest deterrent for the growth of DA is not much of it leadership but also their supporters on online platforms… South African voters have once again proven that their votes are up for grabs…yet opposition parties fail again and their supporters continue to insult their fellow countrymen…go figure

I am really sorry to tell you this doctor, but I am absolutely stunned with your inability to realise why the voter turnout is so low, both in terms of registered and eligible voters. The answer comes in three forms: (1) those that are disillusioned with all political parties, (2) those that would like to vote for a particular party but do not believe that party is on the right track right now and (3) those that would like to vote for a fringe party but don't since they think the party could not possibly have any impact due to numbers. As for the (1), you are unlikely to ever get them to vote because even if some new party comes along offering radical change in terms of things that will actually make a difference, it would end up being a hard sell because of the fact that they would be new. As for (2), well, you can take your pick; tribal leadership changes, policy change over time, or people that refuse to vote for any other party but are unwilling to vote for "theirs" because they are unhappy with them. Number (3) is self-explanatory. How is this so difficult to understand? One other thing, I find your comments regarding the success of the MK party baffling. Instead of giving us YOUR opinion (you are educated in this field, presumably therefore you would have an opinion, right?) you instead went with "let us try not to offend" and spoke of "conversations" other people are having. Are you serious? It is an absolute certainty that people in KZN voted tribally for them. For the MK party themselves to say otherwise is intellectually insulting and I find it extremely offensive that you are unable (or unwilling) to call them out for this. Whatever happened to honesty in academia, eh?
@meraaiki61294 ай бұрын
If one still thinks that one' s vote for a "fringe" party won't make a difference, it is maybe best that one refrain from voting. As the doctor said, if a government represents only 56% of its population (approximately, according to voter turn out) it is a significant problem. Our country fought hard to have a one person one vote system. We are growing through the process. Yes, i often(more often than not) am discouraged by how government fails our country, but for that reason I will make my voice heard in every election. What would have happenened if all the MK voters stayed home thinking they won't make a difference this time? The ANC would have again gotten a clear majority. The ANC & EFF were given a very clear message about their ineffectiveness from their own former supporters this time. In most provinces they cannot govern alone & they've successfully alienated there respective voters from the other parties in that trio. This is the 1st time since 1994 that the ANC was given a clear vote of no confidence. That is something to take time to celebrate. And then the citizens of this country have to get back to work and continue to watch closely & punish other parties on voting days if they do not govern ethically & effectively. The way back to a decent government is to vote. Yes, it will take a long long time, but South Africans are headstrong.

It makes it difficult to engage in state capture if you don't have a clear majority. Think Zuma has gotten himself in a very difficult position, unless he cooperates with the ANC. Which if he does, ironically, will cost him votes. Same goes for the ANC. And the EFF, siestog shame😂. Theatrics will only get you to a certain point & then you better have substance & focus to survive. We are entering uncertain times, but we'll manage. Hopefully this shows those who did not vote that we indeed have a country to fight for. We can do it, don't lose hope💪
