Why should they? It was the Arabs who launched a war and lost. The loser cannot change the script simply because the war they themselves started did not go in their favour. I visited South Africa last year and was struck by how beautiful a country it was but ruined by corruption and failed policies. Further, when such attacks on civilians are genocidal in their nature, including slaughter, rape and mutilation, acts which in this case were not only cruelly perpetuated, but are compatible with HAMAS’ official ideology, even implied by it, then the right of self defense becomes an obligation to self defend.
