3-1 से पिछडने के बावजूड इंग्लैंड सिरीज ड्रॉ करवाने में काम्याब हो गया
इसके साथ ही फ्लिंटॉफ ने गांगुली के हाथों हुए अपमान का बदला भी ले लिया था
लेकीन ये तो बस इस कहानी की शुर्वात थी
६ महिने बाद होनेवा ले NatWest सिरीज में ये दोनो टीम्स फिर एक बार भिडने वाली थी
जिम्बाब्वे पर शर्मनाक जीत और वेस्ट इंडीज में वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ ऐतिहासिक जीत के बाद भारत अपने प्रतिद्वांधी के लिये तैयार था
जबकि इंग्लैंड न्यूजीलैंड में सिरीज ड्रॉ और श्रीलंका को करीब करीब व्हाईट वॉश करके आया था
तो आनेवाली सिरीज...बडी ही घमासान होने वाली थी
इंग्लंड पेहला मॅच जीत गयी पर अग्ले ही मॅच में भारत के हा तो एक करारी हार
ऊस जीत के बाद भारत ग्रुप stage ke अंतिम मॅचेस तक अपराजित रहा....पर इस्के बावजूद वो सिरीज जीतने के लिये बुकीज फेवरेट नही था
क्यूँकी ... उन्होंने
और मानो उसिकी ताकीद देते हुवे वो ग्रुप stage की फायनल मॅच भी हार गये
उसके उपर कुंबले और सचिन तेंडुलकर injured
तो फायनल्स मे हार करीब करीब निश्चित थी
और गेम भी उस्सी तरफ जाता दिख रहा था
नसीर हुसैन और treschothich का शतक
और उस्पर फ्लिंटॉफ का वार
गांगुली के अर्ध शतक ने कूछ उमीद जरूर जगायी. पर उनके जाने के बाद....कोई आस बची नही थी
और तब उठे युवराज सिंग और मोहम्मद कैफ...
जिंहोने फिर इस मॅच को एक यादगार और इतिहासिक मॅच मे बदल दिया
एक एसा मॅच जीसके अंत मे...सौरव गांगुली ने अपनी शर्ट उतारकर.....दुनिया को चेतावनी दे दी....
की नया भारत... जाग उठा हैं
The story begins after the 3-3 loss of the England tour of India in 2001
Endurance had recovered from a 3-1 defecit and stormed their way to a a draw
Along with that flintoff had also ducted in taking his revenge for the humiliation he had suffered at the hands of Ganguly
But the story want done
The stage would move onto natwest series of 2002 where India and England would meet again
India having refound itself after a shameful victory over Zimbabwe and a historic victory against West Indies in West Indies
While England came from drawing a series in new zealand followe d by nearly whit washing Sri lanka at home
The series was set to be a epic encounter
With England winning the first match.
But getting defeated by India in the very next match
India then went on an undefeted run in the tournament and still did not become the bookies favourite to win....
Coz since 1999 then had went on to choke in each and every finals
And so they went on to lose the referral to the finals too
That along with Sachin and kumbles injury meant that we were projected to lose the finals
And the game seemed to go that way too
Naseer and trescothich century
Allong with flintoffs antics
Even gangulys blistering half century couldn't bring India to a victory
And finally with half of the India lineup gone
When all hope was lost
Rose yuvraj and Mohammad Kaif
Who along with Harbhajan and zaheer khan
Went on to create an epic encounter
An encounter that ended with dada taking his shirt off... At lords
