I love these sniper shots, they're not just a dude aiming and shooting they are the result of a dedicated effort, they have to shoot targets they can't even see they just calculate the trajectory and spotters confirm the shot. Only impressive to those who have no understanding for marksmanship and external ballistics. Today’s very low drag bullets can get to great distances nose-on before they loose enough velocity to cause erratic flight leading to the bullet tumbling end over end; thus. a marksman who can factor for wind, slope of land, and target distance will get hits on on a 20 in wide target consistently from a .5 MOA accurate rifle/ammo combination out to about 2000 yards in ideal conditions. Hits at greater distances are anomalies or just pure luck as a tumbling bullet will ultimately strike something. The bottom line is this: at 4000 yards .5 minute of angle accuracy is about 20 inches so a hit at such distance would require a no-wind or prevailing wind condition. since just a 4 mph cross wind would move bullet impact about 5 feet based on the bullet having a remaining wind constant of 10 at 4000 yards.
