Thank you so much Morrison! I painted it very fast because it’s winter and I was afraid light might change…I was happy about the result though! Colours are vibrant!

Yeah, some of these pigments are peculiar. I agree it looks like these come from Korea or China. Others though are so beautiful, that ultramarine violet looks fantastic. Love the painting!

I have no idea where the ‘normal’ SAA colours are made, but Alison C Board had her paints made for her by Jackmans in the north of England. They are an up and coming family run paint manufacturer. So far, I have seen and heard no complaints with their paint. The SAA on the other hand appear to be completely changing all their paints and pigments. It seems to be happening incrementally. I personally love Ali Board’s new paints you have there. The quality is superior. I love the knowledge you’ve imparted, especially lightfastness. Very interesting when you are a member like me. I think I will write an email regarding their pigments used and in some cases, a complete lack of pigment info. Watch this space for info…!!

I’m in love with Alison C.Board Collection! I have seen that SAA has a special subscription for overseas…I’m tempted! What do you think Anita?

kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGexo6JriquFm9k. That is a video of her launching her colours. Hmmm, with regards the SAA, wait and watch as they are going through a lot of change right now. I know they sell many brands of beautiful paints, but you would need to work out whether being a member is financially beneficial once you add the shipping. A member in the UK, pays no shipping making it a little better, but personally my own membership runs out next month and I am going to leave it that way. I’ll just watch and see where the organisation heads. Beautiful painting as usual Elisabetta! 😻🦮

Matthew Palmer has his brand paints made by SAA and quite a few of his colors are opaque. I would love a tube of that unusual cobalt blue

i have seen this Matthew Palmer but I haven’t tried it. That cobalt blue you are talking about is really wonderful! Thanks for stopping by 😊

I couldn’t find much about PR184. It’s described as a monoazo and a Naphthol on artiscreation.

Yes, not much info! It’s a beautiful palette but some pigments might be not lightfast. I will use it in my sketchbook! ❤️
