Well done making a 29 minutes long video of a 10 minutes job. Very helpful, though. Thanks for the effort :)

The rambling was entertaining.

Really? Thanks! You wouldn't believe how much nonsense I cut out of these videos 🤣 I talk way too much sometimes.

Don't unscrew it under pressure. Do it properly, remove the fuel pump fuse with the engine running.

Do you know where the fuel filter is on a 2007 saab 9-3 2.0t ?
@messengermotorworks6639 Жыл бұрын
US spec cars have the filter inside the tank, built into the sender unit. Euro spec cars will have an inline filter attached to the fuel tank.

@@messengermotorworks6639 okay thank you.

You installed it backwards. In fact the old one was backwards installed as well.

Sharp eye 👍you have but my beck arnley 043-0819 (made in china) fuel filter is also like his. The banjo bolts are different sizes (rear larger front smaller), so one can't really put it together the wrong way.

@@pcnepal I stand corrected, I bought the same filter and to my surprise it was "backwards" as well. Oh well I hope it filters.

Did you get the catalytic converter replaced? I am currently having very similar issues to you and have (before watching your video) replaced many of the same parts...
@messengermotorworks66394 жыл бұрын
Hi! I gutted the converter and it solved the problem, engine can breath now and power returned. I live in an area with no emissions checks so this doesn't effect me.

@@messengermotorworks6639 Glad to hear you got it sorted and thanks for the info. Definitely points me in the right direction!

@@messengermotorworks6639 So, the sudden drops of RPM are from the clogged catalytic converter? Not the throttle body or any other nonsense?
@messengermotorworks66392 жыл бұрын
Can't remember how I explained it in the video, and it's been a while since I experienced the problem. The sudden drop in RPM related to the power loss while I was driving along, and more pronounced during acceleration. It would get to the point, especially after a long drive, where the engine could not climb in revolutions, as if the fuel was being limited (my original theory). But it was a clogged converter restricting flow so much that the engine could not move more air, so it would either stay the same or even drop somewhat.
