SAAB 93 REAR SHOCKS

The quickest, safest way of doing your rear shock absorbers.
Take care when you do the left side on xenon equipped cars, dont damage the ride height sensor.
Torque specs:
Upper nut 27nm or 20lbft
Lower bolt 150nm or 110lbft
Lug bolt 110nm or 81lbft

Love your content but when jacking the vehicle a lot of youtubers are bending their rear axles by placing the jack stands on this mechanism. SAAB strongly advise against this. If you place the jack slightly off the sill - this area is solid and is built to take the weight. Good luck and hope this helps people. Btw your car is so well kept LOVE IT :)

Again good video but can I ask could you not put bottom bolt in to hold strut while you tighten top nut??

No, the strut will turn internally .

Shud have replaced the holder of the shocks aswell. Mine got a crack in the middle. If u get new shocks and an old holder the pressure will be greater and maybe destroy the holder. But great video. Thumbs up

It is not necessary, however if they are rusty or cracked then u should ..

Yes you should, it is s wear item and stated to be replaced when the shocks are.
