Hello, good morning, for a few days I have had peobelmss with my rear left suspension (driver side), it is tilted, I have already changed the air springs and the level sensors (it only has two in the back of the car), but the car is still tilted, I used my scanner to level it and it is fine, but after being stopped for a while the car tilts again. I have questions: 1- Why if it is one side that is tilted when I turn on the suto and close the doors the compressor turns on and raises both sides (putting the suspension higher and tilted, to the point that I have to regulate it manually with the scanner? NOTE :My car only has 2 air springs in the rear Mercedes r350

Nice but to flush you need minimum 50% but better 100% more fluid flushed through. I would also start with half flush with old filter and then change the filter otjerwise tou will fill it up with old dirt or use two filters.

Get new panel clips from an auto parts store. I found that Nissan clips worked much tighter and better than GM. Take an example clip to the store with you.

Sorry for the “easier way” question here, but if I do not flush the torque converter, I don’t have the exact measurement of fluid that came out and I don’t have any special temperature tools, is there a way to refill my trans pan with the correct amount? Using gravity, a funnel and tube, and hoping for the over flow to do its job? I didn’t see the temp tool mentioned in your video.

09:30 onwards - you used WAY WAY WAY too much grease there by spraying it like that. Use a small brush to apply a small amount to pivot points and sliding components. Silicone grease is fine. Doing as you did will almost certainly result in grease getting on the motors and when (not if) it comes into contact with the brushes it WILL wreck the motor. The motor may fail in the unlocked position if you are lucky or in the locked position if you are not. In the case of the latter situation, you WILL have to do some damage to get that door open.

Dont worry mate, ive never had a single lock failed after i repair them, started doing that more than 7 years ago . That amount of grease is totally fine. And if locks failed closed, i know how to open them with no damage 😉

God NO…! With such a good start, it ended horrible! - Do not use screwdriver to clean contacts! - Use plastic tools to open plastic snaps! - Don’t use lithium grase for plastic or rubber parts! You need a silicone one. - Clean first before applying any grease!

@@TheFlyingMechanicDIY well I repaired the second of the two iffy door locks and both locks have now been working 100% of the time (so far), and no messages on SID. But the alarm led still isn’t working and I know the bulb isn’t out or something like that because I’ve seen it randomly work twice before several months ago. Also have codes for the door ajar switch, but the indicator for whether it’s open or not on the sid is working fine

Hi there. Firstly thanks for saving me hundreds of pounds for various jobs I’ve completed due to your videos. Just done the rebuild on my power steering pump using your video. I do have a small leak though, that’s seems to be coming from bolt that is attached to the pump( the one where the high pressure bolt screws into). I am aware about the double crush washer, but definitely seems to be below this. Would you know if this is easily replaced with a new seal or not. I’m not a mechanic, just a novice , but good with spanner’s Again, brilliant videos Cheers Daren from the UK 🇬🇧

Question: is there a need to replace the crank seal if there's no leakage? My engine is good with that. Or, just makes sense to do it? 130k 04 Linear. I have a horrible noise/vibration that I think must be the chain guides, so I'm hoping to just do those and the tensioner (I've got the whole Cloyes kit). Also, no sealant on the gasket, right? I have a new Fel-Pro.
@TheFlyingMechanicDIY

Just make sense to replace the seal as it will start leaking after touching it. The new gasket should be fine without sealant.

I'm a little late to this party, but THANK YOU for a great tutorial video. I was able to get this done in a little over an hour, with probably 10 minutes of that fighting to get that bloody hose off of the throttle body. Finally just disconnected the other end and removed it on the bench. I'm amazed the car ran as long as it did before going into limp mode, that thing was FILTHY, looked like the underside of the butterfly was coated in coffee and charcoal. Cleaned up beautifully, and once I got it all back together, it ran sweetly (and much more smoothly) on my little 10 mile test drive. THANK YOU again!

Thank you for making this wonderful video. I am about to attempt this "power drain" to get the fluid out of the torque converter and I am wondering why you need to remove and fill in 2 liter increments. If you hooked compressed air to the fill pump then could you not refill the trans at the same rate that it is emptying? It seems to me that you could reach a steady state in=out with a compressor and a valve to control the airflow. Thank you!

I just finished re-assembling one of these a few minutes ago. Attaching the springs to the plastic caps was no fun. I applied a light coating of motor oil to the 8 o-rings around the center shaft, as well as the bore. The two halves slid together much easier that way.
