This is exactly what I needed to see! As a woodworker who's learning to work on my car, but who's gotten tired of the floor jack/jackstand solution and contorting my upper body to try to get the torque wrench to click, I've been looking for a lift to, oddly enough, lift my Grand Marquis high enough to work on without stooping. It's just a dream now, but it's a good one.

Thanks a lot Brian! Yessir, these are quite awesome. You just have to have a certain depth of concrete and reinforcement, plus a flat surface. I really like my Grandprix lift in the old shop, but the design of this one is so much more accommodating with the added space. It'll be put to good use for sure!

I still have my 98 LS, it got it's oil changed, got the new wiper blades on it, 02 sensor replaced, got the alternator fixed by the check engine light, and the problem with it now is that the frame control arm under it has a big rust hole.

It involved more fabrication work than I was comfortable with at the time, plus I ran out of space in the old shop haha. Did you get separate lines to the shop for internet? I hate to say it but it might have been a bit of a waste of money. A few manufacturers make excellent equipment for line of sight internet links with plenty of bandwidth for really good money these days. You could've gone from the house to the shop for a couple hundred bucks.

I got separate lines, but I didn't have to pay anything, it was an end-of-the-year promo, I consider myself lucky lol. I don't know anything about what you're referring to, but I'll check it out nonetheless, sounds cool!

@@saabkyle04 that is indeed extremely lucky. Networking is my profession with the wireless part being both work and hobby. If you want to dig deeper, Ubiquiti has a nice website with plenty of information and even a tool to check line of sight possibility. Otherwise you can just look for "WISP solutions" , with WISP standing for Wireless Internet Service Provider. If you ever need any networking advice I'd love to help, just to pay back for the years of quality content and entertainment!
