It's unbelievable from Mercedes-Benz that the E-Class has'nt got LED- or Xenon-Headlamps in the base configuration. The normal E with the smallest motor costs almost 44.000 €!!!

Nah, looks too much like a C class. I liked the previous 2009-2016 generation ones, my mom has one. Its the E400 with the biturbo V6. I pray that she gives it to me when she gets a new car.

Not in the USA. Mercedes has ONLY offered the E class with V6, V8, and a diesel V6 for the past 14 years. Gas in the USA is much cheaper than the rest of the world.

It just shows you really don't know anything about the US market. Our last E class had over 300HP from a 3.5 liter V6. Mercedes did NOT offer a 4 cylinder in the USA for the past 3 generations E class. It was either a V6 or a V8 that's it. The new E300 cost more and has less HP than the old E350 with V6. That is fact.

With Mercedes you get nothing from factory is all optional as the “base” car is shipped world wide from Stuttgart. in the U.S. it is mostly standard as 95% of the cars come with the premium 1 that includes keyless go and other conveniences.

Mclaren cars look all the same, audi made them all the same at front as well as bmw, no one bats an eye. Mercedes benz releases the most intelligent sedan there is, vastly superior over a6 and 5 series - people complain mercedes benz cars are all the same. Its called design language.

Dad got this car for a test drive since he works with mercedes. Amazing car even though it is an inline 4 3.0l turbo. Comfort is amazing and is pretty damn fast at the cost of 70k

I went from a BMW 3 series to a 2017 E300. The 3 series drove and handled better. My E300 with peppered with problems. Had to bring it in the shop over 25 times in the first few months. Ridiculous! They put me in another E300 (this time a package with heads up display and massaging seats, etc.). First few months, in the shop over 6 times, and Mercedes initially refused to fix the creaking in my door when it went over bumpy roads because they could not duplicate it! Then they were able to duplicate it but wouldn't fix it because it wasn't "continuous" enough! Screw Mercedes. What a POS! I took a huge loss on the trade in for a BMW. It's night and day! The BMW drives and handles great and has no rattles. It nearly glides everywhere I go. But I paid the price to experience how bad Mercedes is! I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again!

I have the 3.5 in the MB GLK and the four cylinder in my 2015 C Class. The four is just fine. It has plenty of power in a wide range of revolutions, and in Sport Mode, it has good speed and responsiveness

Hey Kyle, I think that it would be great if you would add clips while driving in the dawn respectively in the night with the car you are presenting. So, you can illustrate better for the viewers, how the respective light system works (e.g. the intelligent light system in the new 7-series).

I do feel like steering wheels are getting really complicated and cluttered and I hope that cars will go in this direction in the future to touch sensitive buttons, or even a touch screen on the steering wheel for a more sleek and simple design

Excellent camera angles and image quality Saabkyle. My biggest problem with this car is the engine. A car like this should have a proper V8, but because of the European restrictions, it won't. A supercharged V6 would be nice. this car is too loud. It's not quiet. It's not soothing. The Naturally aspirated W221 from 2007 had a far more appropriate engine than the Twin Turbo V8 that came later and continued into the W222. I also think the E-class needs more rear seat space. The E-class needs to grow to Hyundai Genesis front-rear space. You shouldn't have to go from a $60,000 car to a $100,000 car to enjoy the Mercedes interior. The E-class is too close to the C-class in terms of interior space.

The reason you hate this 4-banger is probably just because it's a 4-banger, you've never actually driven a Mercedes with this engine, nor a Mercedes-Benz at all probably. And this is the volume seller, that's why it's the first trim level available. Because that's how business works.

No, how business works is strike while the iron is hot, so sell the real engine and get the most you can for your new product. People will pay the most for an E-Class right now, at launch, not next year, when the novelty has worn off. That's why Z06's and Hellcat dealers can sell over sticker for the first year. When the interest starts to die down, then you bring in this model to re-energize the market with a lower price.

And you were wrong about this being the volume model, since this is the first 4-banger in E-Class history. This may become the volume model of the future, but again, no reason to use the new engine at launch. People were expecting the six, and would pay more for it right now.

SDD525 My mom actually has a 2010 Yaris. Owned it since 2013 and not a single issue over the course of 60k miles. My dad is leaning toward getting the electric Smart since his commute is only 15 miles round-trip. Or any subcompact like a Hyundai Accent or something.

I will never buy mercedes again for suicide mission wasting extra tons of money at work shop all the time. Well,I will buy 2017 lexus IS instead of mercedes E klass. Lexus is way better all the time and just need changing oil and enjoy drive than E klass. Lexus never waste in work shop maintaining everytime but all mercedes will.

This is the about worst car I have over five recalls the Computer SAM has been replaced I have lost my brakes three times the car is only four months olds MB customer service is even worse then the car This is ny ninth MB and I have never had a problem MB did NOT tell me there is an electric problems A TON if problems Please be careful with this car I Loved it Now it's nothing but problems Oh and the brakes screech whenever you go too stop how embarrassing this is no remedy for This This car is Joke as is This company as long as everything is Good with the car MB benz loves you I am working on the lemon law with a lawyer now I will be going too Audi

I'd take an E400 for the potent TT V6 motor but I would take it without all of the automatic beep boop nonsense or at the least if I have to have those options I can turn that stuff off. I know how to drive and park. Sport package and a good audio system is all I need.
