Awesome. No plastics. No warning signals. Chrome and steel all over the place. Just pure and solid classic car.

@@FrankGutowski-ls8jt I have my parents 58 Cadillac series 62 sedan they bought in1960. I was 1 lol. It does have factory air. And power windows. Palm springs California car. I remember when I was little that the AC was very cold, and I would stick my fingers in the vents lol. I'm still driving it.

John Franklin I was 9 when we got ours. Two door. No options. Passed my driving test in it, including perfect parallel parking test. Fins made it easy to sight rear corners of the body. (I was good at backing up...I learned to drive by backing it out of the garage and to the street on a 100 foot driveway.) Transported all my college stuff in the huge trunk. We had Buick and a few older Cadillac owners for neighbors. Ours was black. I kept it looking immaculate inside and out. Parents sold it in 72 with less than 60K miles. Seats were flat and not comfortable. Rear seat was too low due to the huge sloping window. Quality of materials inside and out was excellent.

The 57 one of my favorites ever. I don't know where the car came from, but I was amazed to see it wasn't ordered with power windows and air conditioning. It looks like it all original though. I love your enthusiasm for the older American cars. You remind me so much of myself back in the day. I feel so lucky to be raised in a time when all cars didn't look alike. They were American Automotive works of art. I always enjoy your videos.

I had a beautiful pink and white one and drove it from 1967 until I wrecked it. It had a lot of bells and whistles. Electric windows, lap seat belt which saved my life when I wrecked it. I lost control in the rain and ran over a nail. Spun around 3 times on the interstate. Door popped open and the seat belt held me in. I drove on home. Three days later I was driving and rain water was plopping UP onto my face. The windshield had pulled away 3 inches from the body! It never cracked nor chipped. I took it to a repair shop who put it on the lift. I had bent the frame in 3 places and it totaled the car. I was so upset and sad. Sent it to the junk yard. Years later I saw a couch made from the trunk area. Wish I had kept the old beauty. I could have made a bed for my grandson from the trunk area. Prior to the 1957, I had a 1954. Also a really nice car. The gas cap was inside the tail light. You lifted up the light and there was the cap. I think that was on both of these cars. Cadillacs were truly great cars back then.

Great video. Allow me to add some correction: Disc brakes were not factory options back in 1957. The original "wonderbar" radio had signal seeking but was AM only (there was no AM/FM switch) and it was mono (not "stereo").

Probably the best styling Cadillac ever came up with,I worked in a body shop in OZ for a couple of years and we had a late 70's or early 80's De Ville with what I would call a "drop nose" diff which meant the tailshaft was lower than the bottom of the banjo but have never seen one like it since, probably had the crown wheel on the "wrong" side and drop gears in the nose like a Hallibrand quick change diff, often wondered if these were used much in caddies so that the tunnel could be lowered.

My dad once owned a 1958 Cadillac Series 62 hardtop coupe. His had a white exterior with an aqua/green interior. In my opinion, Cadillacs seem to look more “elegant” in white. It was a beautiful car, and turned heads wherever he drove it. The radio was an AM “signal-seeking” type, with a motor-driven tuner. I think the radio in your car is a custom “aftermarket” type.
