It is to this day so bizarre how the soul just simply knows. All of this is just so intuitive, and of course mainly the rings ought be of personal significance, NOT to show off or espouse an arrogance and worldliness, and meant as meanings of personal significance. So if for example you wear a very expensive platinum ring bejewelled in diamonds "yeah brother check this ring out, ONLY cost me a good 40k in USD, no big deal" well yes of course that should be seen the same as wearing a big fat gold ring on your index finger. Meanwhile I think the preference is right hand due to right handedness, i.e. if you are carrying any of the names of God, or Ayat, or of His messengers, or any religious meaning, on your primary hand, that is to remind you in all you do where that mental and heart energy ought be focused. I just think it's funny about the pinky and ring finger, that I think any man would just know intuitively you shouldn't wear on Index and middle finger except as you are showing off because you have so much opulence you are attempting a flex. And it is the flexing itself that is a bit sinful, because it is haughty and arrogant and valuing the material things all that will pass away from you and never carry forth into Jannah however it was what you did here and the way you felt about it and way you treated others and made them feel which will cross over with you. And so when you tried acting better than others on account of your wealth, none of your wealth comes with you to counter the balance of the way you tried to treat others, and the weight of it will be heavier than gold.

Asalaamu Alaykum. Does the ruling on wearing gold refer to 24 karat gold (pure gold) and not metals that is mixed with gold (anything below 24 karat)? I think this is an important distinction.

Wa ʿalaikum assalām. Any such conditions or restrictions would require authentic and clear evidence. There are only weak and fabricated narrations that mention most of those restrictions. The only condition that can be considered is the condition of the ring being silver as some narrations seem to indicate that a ring must be of silver, BUT there are authentic narrations that show otherwise, so the most that can be said is that it may be preferred to wear a silver ring, but not required. And Allah knows best.

Wedding ring is haram as It's root is related to shirk but you or your both can wear a ring as a jewellery or fashion but not as a wedding ring (of course man cannot wear gold at all) jazakAllah

You have 5 fingers in which two are are discouraged or non permissible: the index and middle finger (the thumb is debatable) thus you can wear two rings if it’s on the pinky and ring finger. May Allah swt forgive my shortcomings if I made any mistake in my response.

Abu dawud 4223 daif hadith but its said not wear metal rings only silver rings also weight one miskal 4 gram of somthing Narrated Buraydah ibn al-Hasib: A man came to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and he was wearing a signet-ring of yellow copper. He said to him: How is it that I notice the odour of idols in you? So he threw it away, and came wearing an iron signet ring. He (the Prophet) said: What is it that I see you wearing the adornment of the inhabitants of Hell? So he threw it away. He asked: Messenger of Allah, what material I must use? He said: Make it of silver, but do not weigh it as much as a mithqal, The narrator Muhammad did not say: Abdullah bin Muslim, and al-Hasan did not say: al-Sulami al-Marwazi.
