Yes Saaga is built for grappling, a spinning hook, and overall defense with height and width not being too tall therefore it can handle more aggression without falling over. The other robots have such long legs with skinny bodies and just a dance move for an attack, so it's obvious Saaga is better.

The fact that saaga is perfectly well balanced, both literally, and statistically in terms of his attacks, is what makes him perfect. He doesnt focus on a lot of things, he only focuses on one, and that makes him perfect. His feet are wide, and hes relatively fast as well. Hes perfectly designed right after real wrestlers

Seems like competitors focus too much on the "hands" to grip, where Saaga uses the whole arm to make grabs. Saaga also seems to have a lower center of gravity? Which would make him harder to knock over.

Wrestling/Judo/Jiu Jitsu/Catch wrestling trump the "Aikido style" of grappling even in robot form. Gross motor movements with more secure points of control on opponent defeat fewer/weaker grips on opponent that rely on fine motor skills. Interesting to see the principles play out even here.

The thing about Saaga is that it has multiple forms of attack. I have yet to see any of the other bots do anything else aside trying to sweep up the legs. Saaga has a suplex, a leg grab, a back hand type thing, and can use its leg to sweep and knock down opponents. It's very well designed.
