SAAM: What Is Polyvictimization?

In my last video, I mentioned that I am a survivor of sexual assault and polyvictimization, which led a colleague to ask, "What is polyvictimization?"
In this video, I explain that it is multiple victimizations and why polyvictimization is important for employers to understand.
It started with one incident.
How you handle a sexual assault report can determine:
1. The likelihood of revictimization
2. How long it takes for the victim to heal
3. Their next steps
Handle it poorly, and the next step could be a lawsuit.
Do it well, and you can make a difference in the trajectory of a victim's future.
