honestly I never understood why the skr engines all had to be red in rws, I get that some railways paint all their engines the same colour as some type of theme, but the talyllyn railway doesn’t do that so why should the skr? not to mention people would be confused as to who is who take the story trucks for example.

It’s because that’s what their paint jobs looked like in The Railway Series. I think they changed up the colors for the show to be less confusing.
