hi bro i love your channel you are a guy who is so excited about food i love it. as a chef i can tell you few tips for next time. first mistake was not giving it enough time to ferment yogurt is a substitute for yeast, you should have made the dough softer and as you are in a colder climate you should have kept in the oven without turning it on only to insulate. try it next time you will get it.

You can do this as well that watch a channel named Honest Kitchen for chole bhature apne Chef Bhupi Jee ka channel hai wo is tarah ke sare cooking hacks batate hain apne desi indian style me or mast mast receipes bhi unka channel milne ke baad to baki kisi or indian cooking channel ki jarurat hi nahi padti unless ki apko koi specific recipies dekhni ho. Few channel I follow are Honest Kitchen, Vahchef, Sidhi Marwadi, Masala Kitchen and there are few more. One more random suggestion is that you have gone for Indian grocery and when you guys were buying dantkanti i think i saw there was also the Vicco toothpaste the original one give it a try as well initially it may feel different but in my opinion it is better than the dantkanti because I also used to use the dantkanti after switching from toothpaste like Colgate, Pepsodent, Dabar Lal Toothpaste and after using Vicco i have stopped using dantkanti. But if you buy Vicco buy the original one because it also comes in saunf flavour and sugar free varient which are not that effective and if you really care for your teeth buy the vicco dantmanjan powder as well and after brushing you teeth with vicco orginal toothpaste or from any other toothpaste and flossing your teeth use vicco dantmanjan to massage on your teeth and specially on your gums from all sides for atleast 2 to 3 minutes and feel the result in 3 to 4 weeks how fresh and healthy your mouth and gum feels. If possible atleast once in a day eat something with no suagr or with less sugar which you have to chew for some time to give some exercise to you jaw muscles and keep your teeth and jaw bones healthy. The dough has been kneaded hard. The dough should be a little soft due to which the Bhatura has become hard. A little more water has to be added to the flour so that the dough becomes a little soft so that the Bhatura becomes spongy and fluffy. The oil should be very hot so that the Bhatura puffs up properly.
