3:22 What does that mean? Of course you want to be able to push yourself and the heli if you are a 3D pilot flying a Goblin. Can you sport fly on 6S sure, but for example on 6S, if you do a constant fast tic toc routine, the battery will run extremely hot, esc will be hot and it will either puff the battery or cause a thermal shut down of the esc. I've done it before... Battery life will be substantially lower on 6S doing 3D routines and the cost and weight between 6S and 12S is really not much at all, but the 12S setup has a vast overall advantage. Simple electrical formula, less volts means more amps, which means more heat which means shorter lifespan of electronics and battery. Go 12S and get the full potential out of the heli and power system.

Yea I agree, I'm sure the heli would fly much better in hard maneuvers. However I really wanted a 6s machine to have something much different than my 700. And yes I've had thermal shutdown with other 550 size helis that's why I put a hobbywing 130a in this one

Also the Xnova motor is surprisingly easy on my batteries. I use 60-80c batteries and haven't had any puff yet. The lightning 4025-1120kv is very efficient in my experience

Im running this model 12s and with a 80a hv kontronik.my esc tray is also my heatsink.HS is 2650 and motor is xnova 560kv with 23t pulley.12s has a lot less amp draw and no matter how you lean on the sticks your never shutting down the kontronik.the need for a 120/130a on 12s is no benefit to the setup.
