In this video we get the Maiden flight on my new to me Goblin 700 Competition! This is one model I have always wanted and glad to have in my collection! Such a great flying 700 size heli. Will be great to rebuild and update it soon!

I still have my OG Goblin 700 I bought back when it was new. It doesn't fly as well as my current Raw 700, but it's still awesome.

Yes they are! They brought the kit back as well 50 pieces. Very limited Run. the main reason why I bought it was because they’re bringing the parts back. It is a very good flying helicopter.

Thank you very excited appoint so personally I really like castle creations ESC’s. I’ve run them and all of my airplanes well over 150 of them so far never had a single issue. i’ve pull some crazy amps out of them as well. Been using castle since they came out.

Don’t get me wrong I have to lol I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about fire but I’ve never had the issue. I did have one castle ESC pop the caps for no reason but it was also 6+ years old and hundreds of flights pulling 200+ amps out of a 100a ESC. The one thing I really like about castle creations which keeps me as a customer and flying there a ESCs is data logging. That is the most helpful thing on an RC aircraft. I wish other companies would include data logging as well. The other big thing that keeps me as a customer is their customer service. I have crashed stuff before completely destroyed the ESC sent it back to Castle and a replace it for free.

Hi West, I kinda stumbled onto your channel. Great work, and I love your no-nonsense dive right in reviews. I mostly fly jets but enjoy challenge of helocopters. I have Goblin 770 but never flew it, Enjoy your 700 video. It's has re motivated me.

That’s a hard one, the RAW 700 is incredible. Just posted a video on one. But the OG Goblin 700 is a iconic staple in the heli world. I just ordered everything to redo mine and update it with new electronics.

Yes, there the same. The difference in the competition and regular is just some head, differences tail differences, and a third bearing on the motor. But canopies and booms are the same.

Whats up Jeff! Aamzing looking Heli..... side question please! I have a IDST Q6 nano charger. I'm on my 2nd one, it's like they won't charge up the first cell properly. I've tried multiple lipos. Ever heard of this before? Example, I have a couple of 6s, and each cell should be 4.2v - cell 1 started around 3.75 and after 8 hours is up to 3.88 while all others have been 4.2 for a long time.

I have seen that issue with other chargers. Personally speaking I would not use it. If it is doing that with different batteries on the same cell then it is a charger issue. 9/10 a Lipo fire is because of the charger. Is this a brand new Q6? I’ve got one in the box I have yet to use. If it is I would return it and go with a different ISDT charger as they are very good. But I have no experience with the Q6. But what can happen is that cell can over charge and pop the pack. Have you tired to storage charge the pack and bring them all back to 3.8v per cell? Then go ahead and charge back up?

Hey Wayne, that really depends on how much you want to spend. I like Torq, Xpert and MKS servos.

Did you ever get a new 130 ESC? I have a Spektrum Avian Smart 130 amp brushless esc I bought by mistake. I paid around $104 for it If you would like to buy it make me a offer. It was new in the box all I did was open it up to look at it. I know nothing about helicopter’s. You’d be doing me a favor taking it off my hands. Maybe I can email you

It is a competition now, it has been converted over. It just has the original canopy and boom but everything else has been converted to the competition.
