Thanks Rob! I appreciate that man! I don’t think I’m as good as a lot of others but I can definitely fly helicopter pretty good. Of course always want to be better I need to get back on the simulator practicing some more new stuff! The RAW 580 has quickly become my new favorite heli! I can’t wait to build my own!

What is the weight of one of the main blades? No one has the weight posted. How well do they autorotate compared to a constant chord blade??

Not sure on the weight of one main blade as I didn’t weigh them. Auto is great! The S blade is so nice as far as floating and super crisp cyclic response.

Great flying as always! Since you have a few align helicopters, how does the quality of parts and build set up compare to the raw 580?

Thank you! I wouldn’t say it’s better quality or a better flying helicopter. I think that their quality of parts is fantastic I think their flight performance is fantastic. What really makes this 580 shine is the open canopy design the massive tail boom and all out lightness to the model. But you really can’t beat Align for the money! I think SAB is a little over priced especially for crash cost.

Thank you! They can be expensive, but you don’t need to buy everything at one time. I buy the kit first then motor and ESC then Servos and FBL and so on. Little by little you could definitely have a heli just like this!

Whats the best rc heli simulator to train flying with a dx6i? I just bought the transmitter before the heli! I just dont know if i should buy the raw 580 or the kraken 580… I love both of them😂

Personally I like ACCURC but Realflight is the easiest sim to use and setup. With ACCURC you have to program the radio and simulator like an actual model. With Realflight it’s plug and play. I would wait on either one till you can get some stick time in if never flown a heli before.

Thank you, personally I don’t run any D/R or expo any of that. I like a very fast and sensitive model. I have 100% travel in the radio itself as well as high speed the FBL up to around 600 rotation a second.

It is a 600 size heli. Honestly hands-down the best 550/600 size model I’ve ever flown!

No definitely way bigger than 500, if you go back to my thousand subscriber video you will see it sitting next to my Trex 600n it is the identical length pretty much. I believe you can run up to a 603 mm main blade on the RAW 580.?The new Nimbus kit does look nice!

@@westhobbiesrc8051 finally tore into the 470lp I found a bad tail silde shaft bearing on the tail rotor side. And my one way bearing is noisey. I discovered the Phillips head screws started loosing up from main gear. Other than that I still don’t think I have the belt tension right but everything else seems good. Would you happen to kno why the main gears are marked a or b on them I bought the three pack for spares a while ago two say a one says b. The one on my 470 now says b idk if that’s important or not. Also do you have a good way to set the mesh other than just guessing lol. I’m aware it sounds worse the more I go one haha

They are a spinning saw blade, can do a lot of damage quickly that’s why flying safe is very important
