People love to hate on Mikado but their Vbar Control paired with Neo or Evo gives you an amazing experience. Everything from programmability at the field to telemetry and data logs makes for the best FBL and remote combination for RC helicopters hands down.

I have definitely seen a lot of hating on the system but we all have to remember they were the first and pioneered FBL units so they definitely know what they are doing! It is a very nice system and I like the simplicity and how great it all goes together. It is very nice to be able to do everything right from your radio.

@@westhobbiesrc8051 I have to get really used to the switches and positions of the switches. I would have liked them further apart. Swapped some of them around and that makes it better. The Vcontrol looks amazing too but was outside of what I was willing to spend.
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 Жыл бұрын
@@RubenRC94 the X20S is a incredible radio for the money Value. I think it is a really good radio and they have really stepped up their game big-time compared to their other radios. I did quite a few flights on it and the overall feel I just could not get used to since I don’t fly with a neck strap and I am a hybrid thumb/pinch flyer but! I did really like the radio and what you could do. Way better then the TX16S.
@RubenRC94
@RubenRC94 Жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 yeah the Spektrum ergonomics are better. I also don't use a strap. Pinch on the collective side and thumb the cyclic. It's a little awkward to grip and access all the switches. But i think it helps that I have huge hands lol.
@westhobbiesrc8051
@westhobbiesrc8051 Жыл бұрын
@@RubenRC94 They did a fantastic job on the X20S, personally I think if they made the ergonomically it’s just a little better the radio would sell like crazy. I would’ve kept it. You get a ton of features for the price. I know they are also working on a full Helicopter template that should be out soon as well as better iKon integration.

It’s a beautiful field and definitely lucky to have the field to my self most of the time. It’s a small group of guys most of the time and we all give each other our time. A lot of 3D plane guys and they go have fun while I wait and then I’ll fly and they wait. Thank you! I’m not that good though lol

Yes!! Really happy to see you try v-control, hope to see more content with setup etc. I can help with that telemetry/ timer issue if you need. You dont fly a timer with v-bar you fly the battery percentage and land at zero.. so much easier and more accurate.
@AllanG1914
@AllanG1914 Жыл бұрын
Would you set where you want 0% to be on the V Controller?
@seanoc3533
@seanoc3533 Жыл бұрын
@@AllanG1914 yes. You use a battery app to tell the transmitter which battery you are flying every time you power up the fbl. You set the amount of capacity and how much you want to land at.. for example a 6s 5000 pack and you want to fly 70% land with 30%. The vcontrol then counts down during the flight by increments of 10% and you land at 0 (which is really 25% or 30%, whatever you prefer.
@seanoc3533
@seanoc3533 Жыл бұрын
I should also add that you only have to save battery specifics once, but when you power up the model you tell it which saved battery you are flying.

One thing that may interest Spektrum users thinking of switching is the V Controller's switch where Spektrum Throttle Hold would be located. On V Controller, I think that's the toggle switch for rescue? If I'm wrong, that's great because then I can set it up like a Spektrum.

The Vcontrol radio feels so much nicer than the spektrum which feels cheap. The best part about the control is the way it seamlessly works with the FBL and ESC... literally so cool when you plug in your helicopter and it turns on your transmitter automatically.... add up all those things it does so well and the ease of setup and flight tuning is next level.

So it isn’t that much more than my IX14, but, the radio feels great. It’s a very solid radio that feels really natural in your hands. The balance of the radio feels perfect. The ergonomics and placement of the gimbals is perfect. No reaching into the stick corners. I love my IX14. It’s the best feeling radio spektrum ever made. the best part about Vcontrol is the ease of setup and tuning right from your radio and when you power up the model the radio turns on. No need for extra Satellites or receivers. Very simple telemetry. It’s a great system.
