Hello! Sharon and Kugdee. Hope that you are both well and your family's. The items that you get for free is wonderful for you both. The hobby is expansive. And with your reviews of the items that you get we can then make up our own minds weather to buy them or not. And makes buying items easier. Thank you both for the reviews. You have both sold me on buying a set of sab panel liners. As better the tools will always make the building easier. As i will keep supporting you and buy from newtype. As to keep the program going. As you both do wonderful and professional work. Thank you both for another wonderful program. Wishing you all the very best for now and the future.

awesome review! i think the real difference besides the dimensions of the handles is that BMC is heat treated where as the SAB is not, this will probably play a factor on how long the scriber will last. Kugdai's English is getting better! keep up the good work xD
@iTsAznThunder4 жыл бұрын
Does the BMC being heat treated make them better in the long run?
@TyronePinson3 жыл бұрын
@@iTsAznThunder heat treated means it's definitely harder. I guess we will see over time. I have a bunch BMC chisels and I just ordered my first saab chisel to try it out. I've been using a lot of madworks chisels lately. mainly because BMC chisels cost and arm and a leg and they stopped production recently and who knows when they will start again. I find the old madworks line is better and sharper than the new tungsten madworks chisels. they are easy to find and they are dirt cheap. cheers!

Hi, I'm new to the hobby because G_Witch got me into this 😂 but as a beginner I have a couple of questions: 1. When should I panel line with a chisel? 2. If I'm not going to paint the kit, is it okay to use the chisel and then use my preferred panel lining marker? Even if I will only stick to the G_Witch Gunplas for now, it's always awesome to see your channel.
@pyromaniack13 Жыл бұрын
1. Whenever you want to make the existing panel lines, bigger/deeper, or if you would like to create new panel lines 2. Yes, you don’t have to paint. You definitely should.I’m apply a topcoat before adding the panel lining though. So scribe new lines>topcoat> panel lining Bro, my second kit was a master grade, and I fell in love with them. They’re magnitudes better than the hg kits. I have still built a few hg kits though, just to spice things up

General scribing chisel question: Once they start wearing out, do people resharpen them, or just buy new ones?
@thebigbient87364 жыл бұрын
These dont wear out too easily, bmc last a lifetime. Sab probably the same. You can resharpen them if you wanted but you need a specific tool if you dont want to risk ruining the angle. But could probably be done without if really careful . Tool is hard to get though outside of japan.
@SAOS4513164 жыл бұрын
there are sharpening jigs meant for regular size chisels and even big lathe tools and they should work just fine for small tools like panel liners. as long as you set the correct angle and keep the tool from getting too hot it should be fine.
@frostedsnow4 жыл бұрын
We don't and haven't heard of ppl in Korea resharpening them. We just keep using it

Awesome review snow! If you or Kugdai were only to choose 3 or 4 panel liner sizes for your tool kit, which sizes would you choose? and tell Kugdai to stay classy ☕️😆
@frostedsnow4 жыл бұрын
Hey NickDom, it really depends on what kinda kits you build. 0.15 for HG, 0.2 for MG. Then, look at the largest lines you will ever scribe on your kits, ex: if you plan to do large scale resin one day. I'd still just buy at 0.5 or below though, cuz in a pinch, you can use a 0.5 to scribe each side of a 1.0 panel line and get away with it, if that makes sense!
@nickdom44064 жыл бұрын
@@frostedsnow Thanks for the info 🙂 yeah makes total sense. I went with .2, .5 and 1 as a starting point. Mostly build MG and got into resin recently so pretty excited to try these out.
