Animals that get taken away from their home and family to live in small spaces very different and far from their home for human entertainment is not something nice. Espwcially considering how many times it has been studied and proven how badly that impacts them mentally. I hope you will think about it more

You are saying that since climate change and poachers make their life hard then we should make it "less hard" by removing them from their habitat, disrupting families and keeping them in small cages not free so that you get the perception they are happier(?) First of all sadly it has been studied and proven endless times by animal behavioural scientist how those places only bring mental instability and bad issues to animals... Second, imagine if it was about humans, there is a population that gets brutally opressed in their land by some evil people and instead of solving the issue and removing the bad opressing people you "solve" the issue by removing them from their homeland and putting them inside small apartments separated from their family and not able to ever get out of it and not live how they want but how you want them to, just cause then you are happier for them... Makes no sense. 1st you solve the poacher issues and there are endless amounts of natural reserves and associations on land in their home habitat countries (no need to "save them" in zoos) 2nd anyone on this earth would rather die free living their life with family in their homeland than die maybe more years later but caged somewhere else alone with strangers
