@@philipschrute8487 She used to give bad handshakes, just like Ostapenko and Putintseva. She was so salty back then, kinda immature. She is now one of the most respectful players on tour, appreciate her a lot for that reason. Also very humble, funny, friendly, great fighter and player after all. Even her grunting is not an issue for me, cause she is all about fair play.

She was so (still is, just less obvious) disrespectful towards Iga. She trash talk Iga too. She has no class nor manners. Just learned to pretend to be polite. After all Iga treated her, always, with respect even when the screamer show ZERO respect towards her.

It simply wasn't Iga's day & she knows it. That brief exchange btw her & Saba at the end says it all. It's not a normal Iga reaction after a defeat. But deep down, she knew she wasn't at her best all week, not just today.

It was Iga's first hard court event after she played at Wimbledon and in Paris. She said she had no expectations, it's was a training event for her. For Saba's it was 3rd, she said it herself here? And it was really fast court too, Alcaraz said so, and many others. Fast court, low bounce - it's just doesn't fit the grip she uses, and for Sabalenka's it's like another level - she hits hard no matter the surface. She was serving great, with not that many ue. Altho I have to admit that it showed that they both struggled with those lighter balls. There were not that many exchanges before there was out or net, form both sides.

Aryna is so much different when she is winning. Today with 1ga she played the best since Wimbledon. I hate when someone says that someone deserves smth. No player deserves anything. Everyone has to work for everything. Badosa is her best friend and she can support her but she does not deserve anything only has the right to play in the semis after winning the quarterfinal. Badosa is in her best shape since a looooong time but Pegula is a very consistent, patient and experienced player. Chances are fifty fifty or maybe 2 percent more for Jessica.

Not an excuse- but noticed that the players that were playing back to back , Roland Garros and the Olympics, are not fairing well so far for hard court. That is why Novak skipped this one, it is not easy. It is best to take a rest, or take it easy on this tournament, like Alcaraz and Iga did. The important tournament is the UO.

After the QF with Mirra, yeah she was. Also this Olympics took out a lot of emotions out of her , hope she will be ready for U.S. Open. Of course Sabalenka played great match and I think she is going to win in the final against Pegula.

Sabalenka beats her all the time. She is tired or not. There is no need to excuse her. Iga has a hard time winning against couple girls on WTA, obviously the strongest ones and especially in grass.

I'm Polish, but I like Aryna for her naturalness. She can't pretend and is a girl with character. She started playing more calmly without having to use all her strength when she often threw the ball out of bounds. As for Iga, if she does not introduce other shots into her arsenal, such as short balls behind the net, slices, volleyeys, it will be more and more difficult for her to beat the top players. I have the impression that Iga often hits the ball at the places where it is easier for her opponent to reach instead of playing, even lighter, where there are free spaces on the court. She doesn't seem to be paying attention to where the player on the other side of the net is positioned, and anticipate her move. During the last match there was a situation when Iga was at the net and was reaching for an easy ball, Aryna was moving beyond the end line and Iga should ha e played a simple, uncomplicated shortcut behind the net. There would be no chance for Aryna to get there. Unfortunately, Iga played an easy forehand ball and ran forehand to the middle of the court near the end line. Aryna won that ball. There are too many such or similar moves in Iga's game. Instead of making her opponent's game more difficult, it makes it easier. She should hire an additional experienced coach who will teach her other strokes technically, as well as improve her tactical skills, because sometimes she hits very hard and accurately, but that's where her competitor is waiting for the ball. first of all, she plays in inappropriate zones without following the positioning and anticipating the movement of the player she is playing with. Aryna hired such a new coach, and the results are already visible, because Aryna plays calmly when necessary. Then she doesn't make so many mistakes and her game is also effective. Iga also needs to calm down, not only when hitting the ball, but in her mental attitude. If something goes wrong, her face shows suffering. More ease, maybe some Jasmine Paolini-style smiles. I know that hundred thousands are at stake here, but you only live once and why stress so much? Besides, it's just a problem for her in the game. May the best one win...

todo lo contrario, estuvo todo en contra de aryna, solo que iga no lo supo aprovechar… paraban el partido a cada rato por las lloviznas cuando aryna en el primer set la estaba cagando a pelotazos y aún asi no le perjudico ni bajó el ritmo cosa que la ultima vez que hubo parate por lluvia en un partido se lo dieron vuelta (sabalenka vs bouzkova), en el segundo set salvo esos 10 match point nomas porque aryna casi se caga encima y se manda una pecheada, lo demas todo merito de aryna, nada que hacer para la polaca. no me quejo de los parates de lluvia porque lo principal es que no se resbalen y no les pase nada a ellas

Moim zdaniem Iga jest w słabej formie ....Igrzyska Olimpijskie były tego przykładem...a co do Sabalenki to zobaczymy jak sobie poradzi z dobrze grającą Amerykanką...Świątek od dłuższego czasu bardzo obniżyła poziom ...co w tym spotkaniu było bardzo widoczne.....bardzo ale to bardzo mizernie zagrała Świątek...Sabalenka na swoim poziomie... i nic więcej...
