Fun facts about the 303rd : -first victory was during training, and won with no bullets fired. The polish pilot managed to gently ram and push the german to fly lower and lower, until he hit a tree. -one polish pilot was shot down above a mansion, he parachuted and landed right on the tennis court, were a game was been played. He was invited to join. He won.

0:08 When I first discovered this song I was playing war thunder and that exact moment was when I was taking off in realistic mode - it sounded like the pistons of the Spitfire I was flying. It was going to click anyway, since I already started liking the band more and more, but that moment was D-I-V-I-N-E The dogfights were like nothing I ever experienced before, and since I was never actually a fan of WW2 gameplay I was usually very neutral to the propeller aircraft, but because of that instrumental I actually fell in love with the idea of World War 2 air combat. "On wings of history they turned from home, to live eternally, skybound they roam." Still gives me the chills after almost 10 years. I love you guys, I owe you my life!
As an American with a high school education I only had a faint idea of what the Battle of Britain was until 2 years ago when I discovered Sabaton and found one of my new favorite songs. The story behind it is even more incredible, the sacrifice of these men and how good it must have felt for the men from the occupied countries to get another shot at avenging their fallen countrymen. Never ceases to give me goosebumps

The Battle of Britain is honestly one of the most inspiring events in human history and Sabaton really did it justice. A small island against a seemingly-unstoppable juggernaut made of hatred and honest-to-God *evil.* No one knows what the Eagle to the West or the Bear to the East will do, but so far it hasn't been much. But even if the state is alone, the nation is not, since--as the song shows--individuals from all over the world come to do what they can against impossible odds. That line at the end "On wings of history, they turn from home/ To live eternally, Sky Bound they roam" that goes into the Churchill quote just gives me chills.

Uprising is how I found Sabaton though I found the song and listened to it nonstop but didn't know the band until about 10-13 months later when I would find Bismark, No Bullets Fly, Night Witches, Attack of the Dead Men, Panzerkampf and so much more. Keep it going Sabaton and keep telling those untold stories. P.S. I am part German and part semi-occupied (WWII) Czech so this story always makes me chuckle about my bloodline and the Battle of Britain.

This was the first Sabaton song i’ve ever listened to. My mom showed me a video of my when I was 5 watching an AMV of Aces in Exile. Now I know the lyrics 7/8 years later.

Slovaks, Czechs and Poles are greatest chads in history. I am pretty sure i dont need to explain why Poles are chads so i will only explain Czechs and Slovaks: -Everybody gansta till their railroads start speaking Czech and Slovak. -Russian navy gansta till Czechs and Slovaks capture two steamships armed with four howitzers (battle of lake baikal) -USA airforce gangsta till they meet Czechoslovak pilots (air battle over Merklín)
