Well, if the wikipedia entry is correct, the Bismarck was found at 15,719 feet. One fathom is six feet (two yards), It seems that the Bismarck was found at just about 2,620 fathoms. Bismarck, by the way, is in my top 3 from Sabaton.

@@aaronstorey9712 idk about you, but hood shouldn't have really engaged the bismarck. It's a battlecruiser, which trades armour for speed, but if it did hit the bismarck, it likely wouldn't do much. It might be able to penetrate the fore and aft, but the citadel it had no shot, Gun penetration matters on many things, type of shell, range, angle, what type of armour it has. That's why the hood kinda exploded in the first place, it didn't have enough armour to protect them from battleships, maybe only heavy cruisers and below. so I do kinda blame it on the captain for not turning and running
