It's about how German soldiers in WW 1 gassed a Russian fort to kill the occupants and came the fort. The Russian soilders defending horribly affected by the gas died horribly deaths. However, some of them survived the gas attack and did a counter attack causing the germans to run back to their lines scared to death by the Russian soilders, who coughed out pieces of their bloody lungs, scrambled ever closer, blistered, and etc... The Sabaton history about this event is worth a look at !

That half-dead counter attack bought time for the remaining Russians to dismantle the fort and retreat to fight another day!

See Ed and my comments explaining the song...but also, when you choose your Sabaton video, just peek at the description and you should get a synopsis of the song without ruining your reaction at all. I really love singing along to this...took me a few times to perfect the cadence and get those words right, for the chorus! But did you hear what I meant about this song baving a "groove"? I think I just suggested a Nightwish song...so I'll let y'all catch up and hopefully somebody else will make a great suggestion! There's lots more great bands to show you! In time...

@Grandparents React I'm not much younger than y'all and I've been a part of Nightwish Army for years...have seen reactors come and go... but I just love interacting in comments and meeting new ppl...I've made lifelong friends on YT! Totally understand not reading the descriptions w most bands...but w Sabaton, knowing just a smidgen about the true story behind the song...really enhances the experience!
