This actually happened at the Russian fort and it was actually called attack of the Dead Men in news papers around the world which depicted the solders as skeletons marching out of the gas filled fort and yes the Germans ran away thinks the solders where undead however the solders where just dying the gas failed to kill them quickly so it was one last charge before death took them and that is where the Russian slogan Russia will never surrender comes from.
@CorporalCookie3 жыл бұрын
The soldiers had wrapped their faces/mouths to a degree to protect themselves as well as they could. However, it wasn't good enough and they slowly breathed some of the gas in. When it got into their lungs/throat, it mixed with the water/humidity in there and formed acid. The men were literally coughing up pieces of their lungs as they slowly died. Part of the reason why looked like the undead when they charged, in too much pain to even really feel when they were shot.

Sabaton is a swedish band that writes and sings about Actual historic events, battles, moments of heroism and wars. They are currently recording their 10th studio album. Nice thing about them is that their video's never blocked so it's KZbin safe. (except for some Wacken video's that gets blocked by Wacken) If you really want to go down the Sabaton rabbit-hole, I would recommend these: (These are all from the Sabaton Channel, and they never block videos so it's safe to use) [live at Woodstock 2012]: Ghost Division, 40:1 and Uprising [Great Tour Live Videos]: En Livstied I Krieg (make sure to turn subtitles on), Red Baron, Swedish Pagans, Primo Victoria, Fields of Verdun, Devil Dogs & Angels Calling [Lyric videos]: Attack of the dead men, In Flanders Fields, 82nd All the way, Sparta, Shiroyama and The lost betallion [Music Video's]: Bismarck, Livgardet (make sure to turn subtitles on), Fields of Verdun, Rourke's Drift, Screaming Eagles & Seven Pillars of wisdom [Animated History Video's]: Night Witches and No Bullets Fly (not animated music video's, the animated history/story video's) [Covers]: Kingdom Come - Deliverance and I'm sure people told you but in case, Sabaton have another channel (Sabaton History Channel) where they do a deep dive into the history behind the songs with Indy Nidell.

Sabaton: Sings about men who died for their nation not once but twice, choosing to charge into the line of fire after having to traumaticly accept the fact they are posioned beyond medical care. Kelsey: This is so fUuNn

Kelsey, right now, among the sabaton community, you have center stage! Very insightful and entertaining! If you want to see a big crowd, check out anything from Sabaton's Woodstock 2012 concert--they played in front of 700,000 people!

This song has some serious grove to it, the live version in Russia was nuts, Radio Tapok came out and did the verses in russian and the crowd nearly drowned out the band.

The next time any of your reacting people react to a Sabaton song, you need to watch the corresponding sabaton history video right after the song. Yes, they have a second channel that explains the story behind their songs.

Kelsey-- we all want to see your emotional side-- therefore please react to Sabaton "No Bullets Fly" Official Story Video. This story is 100% TRUE AND ACCURATE and will possibly make you shed a few tears at the end. It is a WWII story of mercy and compassion. And also NEVER STOP a Sabaton video at the end of the music-- let it finish; they sometimes drop Easter eggs at the very end that can be very impactful on the story!

However there is no official music or lyric videos that i know of, there is one video on the Sabaton History channel where they talk about the history behind the song however. It is also sung in Swedish, there is no English version of it.

The reason for the green smoke is that is the color of the gas used in that attack. Chlorine gas, especially the concentrated warfare agent, is a yellow/green heavier than air gas that settles into the trenches that were part of that war. It is not common now, although it is very easy to make, because of battles like this. The gas is extremely lethal, but it can take more than a half hour to overwhelm people who manage to cover their faces.
@bladimor322 жыл бұрын
This was painful to watch... So many men died in that attack, yet they, literally dead men walking, still did their duty to protect their country. The fact that this woman has no interest in the history of this fight almost made me throw up. No respect.
