Very emotional indeed. ❤ I am swedish and not polish but when hear the music and even more when see and heard rhe crowd I feel the pain and the proud of the previus generation of polish People. Kind of same I feel about the songs about swedish history when thougt of the ansestors go fight for Sweden. 1944 is not so long time ago. The wound in the polish People is chose in time. Love the feeling thees video bring! All respect for the polish People! And sorry for our wars in the past! One of my ansestors was captured in Thorn of the swedish army during Queen Kristina war in Poland. He ended up enlisted for the swedish army with the name Gregorius Polack. Some procent polish me too... but from the 17th century.

I have to say. This song is special for Poles, just like me. It speaks about the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. And the crowd is the Polish Woodstock, so as you can imagine, this song makes Poles on Woodstock even more hype. That's why every single person there is up and clapping etc.

A great song about unimaginable bravery from a polish resistance during ww2, performed in Poland... I don’t think oh can ask for a better audience for that particular song. (Same goes for 40:1)...I don’t mean that to take away from the performance in any way - I love it - but you can get why the audience is hyped! Even if not all are polish the atmosphere and mood will surely spread.

The whole concerts was in Poland (as always), the song is about the Polish history, so no wonder why crowd was so wild. This drummer is Robban Bäck. He came to the band after the "big schizma" in 2012 with guitarists Chris Rörland (still in band) and Thobbe Englund (left in 2016, replaced by Tommy Johansson). Robban left in 2013 after his son was born. He took paternity leave and never came back. Snowy Shaw was his temporary replacement. In 2014, Hannes Van Dahl, Floor´s husband, joined the band (he was their former technician).

Hype is there for multiple reasons. Polish history is being lied about notoriously by both the west and the east. Sabaton honors our history and as such are very much loved in Poland. We fought for our freedom nearly non stop since 1795 till 1989 and many members of our families suffered horrible atrocities or died in that fight, with scars of WW2 and communism being felt to this day. This song is about Warsaw uprising, which holds special place in Polish hearts and people who scream their hearts out screaming 'Warszawo, walcz!' are mostly grand children of people who fought in that uprising. So yeah, hype is there for sure! As a sidenote i recommend you check out this entire concert and especially the part where you can hear 500-750k people singing Polish national anthem. kzbin.info/www/bejne/emO2naCdq897aM0
