Thank you for another, as always, great video and reaction. The suffering is so horrible.. and what you told us about the camps.. the camps are so horrible that I can´t write anything more... I don´t know what to write.. it´s so horrible. Yes, that´s right.. the actor is Peter Stormare, a swedish actor and in my opinion a very good actor. He´s also been in movies e.g. Armageddon, Hamilton and many, many more movies. Thank you again. Br //M

the line "help that never came" wasn't entirely about the allies (as in Great Britain or USA). It was mostly about the soviets, the decision to start an uprising was heavily influenced by the fact, that the red army was really close to warsaw. Everyone thought that the uprising will start and the soviets will come in and help, but Stalin already knew that after the war, poland will be under his control, so he decided not to help, and let all these people die. After the war, a lot of the people that fought in the uprising were hunted down by the russians, and executed for treason.

to be fair the USA made 1 airdrop of supplies but Russia wouldn't give them approval to do anymore.

If the British and French generals had ignored orders and pushed on into Germany in 1939 they wouldn't have tortured and executed for it. Stalin made it VERY clear to his Field Marshals what would happen to anyone who tried to help the Home Army.

@themetalmuse. Unfortunately so, the Warsaw Uprising was ordered for that moment by the Polish Government in Exile was desperate to stay relevant. The General ordered to carry it out told them he could stretch it out but there was no chance of help from the Soviets. (Field Marshal Rokossovsky, who was half Polish did in fact manage to cut loose the pro Soviet Polish First Army (2000 infantry) to help but they got chewed up trying to get into the city)

First, Great reaction and plenty of feelings, producing strong feelings about difficult subljects like death, love, war is something that makes ART, they make us cry, mourn... so, yeah, masterful in their chosen art. I think that Sabaton managed to make a great video, actually they have several videos that have more storytelling and substance than all too many full sized Holywood productions.

It's partly due to that generational trauma of being left alone and betrayed by the supposed allies that Polish people (and I mean ordinary people, not the government officials) were so quick to help the Ukrainian refugees in the first days and weeks of the ongoing war. It's like despite our ... difficult relations in the past most of us just knew that if there's a power-hungry lunatic attacking innocent people right behind our border, we HAVE TO help, no questions asked.

Hi Dom, the important thing is to stay true to your values and I appreciate your courage to cry on camera in reaction to us. May I suggest you watch the Sabaton History episode about this song. The production of this video clip was a saga of its own, due to all the problems that were faced. And I also suggest you watch this same song performed live at the Polish »Woodstock Festival« in 2012. The "Sabaton effect" reached maximum levels with this song, over 500,000 people in the audience! Take care, Merry Christmas.

well great reaction that song also always melts me maybe im not crying at it which is not something wrong to be clear but ive heard it to many times also if you are just intrested in more songs about Poland specifically there is 40 - 1 about one of the battles at the very start of WW2 Inmate 4859 about a soldier/spy who infiltrated auschwitz then ran away yeah total badass giga chad Winged Hussars ---- this is more historical they sing about the evens of 1683 and Ottoman invasion of Vienna where Poland saved them but to be fair to understand the song you would have to watch history episode i mean techincally to understand all of it its recommended to watch either way doesnt matter the song :D and fun fact idk if you like or heard or w/e about Lord of the Rings but that battle or Vienna or rather charge of the Polish Hussars with some help from foreign armies inspired J.R.R Tolkien the creater of LOTR about one of hte battles that are in the book or in movie Ahh and 40-1 and Uprising live performances are insane in a good way

Welcome to a truly dark story. The music video uses real photos and videos from the Warsaw Uprising. The document signed by the commander states that for every 1 German killed, 100 Polish civilians are to be killed. Events like those at the beginning of the music video were everyday occurrences. The burning model of the city is not accidental. The Germans literally destroyed 80% of the city. Entire parts of the city were literally left with foundations. In addition, they committed several mass war crimes against civilians. In the Wola district of Warsaw alone, between 20,000 and 50,000 people were killed in 4 days.

The English tried to help. They sent planes with Polish, English, South African and American crews. These were volunteers who practically went to death. The flight to Berlin was safer. Because they had to start from Italy and fly through practically the entire occupied Europe. And come back. They did not even try to land in the areas controlled by the USSR. Because the Russians treated them the same as German planes. And Stalin forbade them to land. So those who landed fell into the TENDER embrace of the NKVD. Later, Stalin generously changed his mind. But no one took his assurances of safety seriously.

The western allies tried to help, unfortunately all we could do was drop supplies the Soviets were the ones that were supposed to help on the ground. Unfortunately again they chose not to because they wanted to crush Polish patriotism, and be seen as the sole saviors against the Nazis.
Have you watched five finger death punches wrong side of heaven? Good song by a man who hates communism so he’d clearly be pro republican and not commie democrats lol, but it’s a good topic it’s about and may cause severe amounts of tears, and cause you to loose faith in our species
