Lean Back > What A Beautiful Name was honestly ✋🏼😭🔥🔥🕊️ Last weeks message kinda knocked the wind out from under my sails in regards to Singing Songs of Praise & dare I say “Worship” to our King 🦁✝️🕊️ But when a song like that literally causes me to involuntarily lift both arms high shouting praises to Jesus for all the ways He has set me freer; YAH, I’m going to have to call that “An Act of Worship”. We learned last week about Worship being more about living out a Sanctified & Surrendered Life of Reverence & Obedience to Christ!! I fully agree. But we also only have one chance per week to Congregate together & lift up our hands 🙌🏼 in awe and wonder of who Jesus is & how He can take people under the absolute worst cases of bondage & oppression, setting them free indeed 👉🏼🤯 We learned that kneeling before God & laying prostrate were also Acts of Worship & believe me sometimes I want to throw myself on the floor in front of the stage during Worship at Flatirons!! But I won’t because it already feels like many people kinda judge those of us who are more enthusiastic Worshippers. Which is always a shame, because to me there is nothing more beautiful than watching people Worship God in Spirit & Truth!! The Worship Team was ON FIRE TODAY!! So good to see so much positive energy on stage and even a new guy up there bouncing around stirring up the atmosphere!! At a certain point it’s like we just can’t care anymore if people side eye 😒 us like we are over the top or kinda kooky!! Nobody knows what the LORD has done for each of us individually so to those who are not as moved to lift hands ✋🏼😭🤚🏼 or bow in reverence I say, you do you, but try to not judge others for wanting to pour out their hearts ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 on the floor 🙇🏻‍♂️✝️🙇🏻‍♀️ There are several people at this Church, including the Worship Team, who truly do not seem to care what anyone thinks & to watch them Worship is honestly one of the most beautiful & inspiring things I’ve ever seen in my entire life!! I wish more people would just feel free to let loose & let go ✋🏼😭🔥🙇🏻‍♂️✝️🙇🏻‍♀️🔥😭🤚🏼

I’d like to see this revisited from the “I do all Of this not to earn being saved but to earn Gods Love”- some of us grow up in homes where love was always conditional. And modern homes are doing this as well. And where love is contradicting. Where words don’t align with actions so the concept of love is confused and very far from Gods intent. This is especially true for those growing up in divorced homes, broken homes, abusive situations, foster care etc. and this is the number one key to really establishing a trusting and valued relationship with God where love comes a the reason the work means nothing. - would like to see this- because while I know this- my life has been full of trauma that makes it hard to feel that love- I know I’m saved I know he forgives me but I am not “rested” in the comfort of knowing he loves me.
