Pastor Mark, thank you again for a great lesson. The Great Controversy is my favorite book in the series. I'm reading it again to go along with this wonderful quarters topic. It is written so beautifully. Thank you, and please pray for me and my 5 children that God lent to me to raise. I failed so miserably and have asked God for His forgiveness. I was raised by a wonderful SDA mother who was so precious and a father who was an alcoholic for my younger years, but became an SDA Christian in later years. I left the church for many years but have returned and was rebaptized a few years ago after studying with our local pastor. I see such a change in the church that is very hard for me to see. But I know it is foretold in the scriptures that in the last days, there will be a falling away, and the world would come into our churches if we weren't vigilant. I see this happening. Please pray for me that I can help my brothers and sisters somehow. I'm 77 years old now and live alone. I don't get lonely, but I have to keep a prayer on my lips continuously to keep my mind from being distracted by Satan. He is working so hard to take me down along with my precious children who live many states away from me. I try to witness to them but they're young and have they're own ideas. I pray for them a lot. I know God hears me, and I trust in Him completely. I ask for the Holy Spirit daily and pray He will continue to strive for my 5 children. I pray that their hearts will be softened, that they will recognize things happening in the world that I've warned them is coming. I pray they come to Jesus before it's too late. Thank you again.

I grew up in the SDA religion. Since a young age, I had many questions. The SDA has a devided religion, therefore I left. The SDA started following the Christian belief, more than the Jewish belief, and has also made a false goddess of Ellen G White. Why has Jesus, being on the cross, cried out to God wanting to to know why He has forsaken him, if Jesus was God? Why are there so many qoutes taken from the old testament and protrayed into the the new testament? Shouldn't that be a concern? What if the name Israel or David were replaced in the new testamant with Jesus, but with a twist? The message of Jesus doesn't make Jesus God. The new testament was either misunderstood, or a total hoax, with the intention to mislead people. The teachings of Jesus was from God, through Jesus. We are all children of God, as was Jesus. Shouldn't the message be, whoever has a solid relationship with God and follow His commandments, will receive eternal life? The SDA has bcome very judgemental and lost its way in true Bible study, focusing on the wrong things.... Just my opinion.
