Actually, there were (about) 2 000 pigs. A Roman Legion (before the 4th century) was comprised of about 5 000 to 6 000 soldiers. "Mar 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. " So, 5,000 to 6,000 demons? What an understatement.

Jonh 14:8-11 Jesus said that He is in the father and the father in him, the same way the Holy Spirit is in both.
