Yeah. I think the most people he encounters are good and friendly people. There are bad folks everywhere but he's probably safer here than where I live in New Jersey. If you were to enter a slum there as a foreigner and talk to as many people as he talked to, you might get assaulted and robbed and maybe lose your life.

In Uganda we are overjoyed to see a Mzungu speak Luganda, its amazing!!!. I live in Europe now but when I tell people that if a Mzungu visits Uganda he/she would be followed by so many kids but they don't believe me, this video is a testimony now. Good to see what home looks like but also so sad that there is 0 development and the people are even poorer than when I left in 2008. As an American this is such a different world. I’d personally feel so uncomfortable with everyone looking at me and the feeling of being judged. Yeah this happens to me when I go to mainly white towns in America. Especially since I live close to one and often end up there when I do uber. The only difference is ppl don’t come up and speak to me. They only stare at me and sometimes I’ll get a few compliments on my hair

@Mishelle Ndinya Yeah I've even had that experience in Central America. Not so much for being white since there's plenty of white Latin Americans moreso having a northern European look and being very tall, a lot of people will stare at me, very interested and curious but again it's just normal. Where I come from people wouldn't do that or consider it rude, but I don't consider it to be a bad thing.
@DrawAndErase
@DrawAndErase 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's wild, its so nice he's pretty real and tries to learn their language its another good safety measure too knowing what they're saying about him. As a black person in europe when you go on vacation to other european cities its kinda similar people staring at you and talking under their breath, it definitely doesn't feel good so good on him for doing more than most would its so valuable.
@JM-kv2kn
@JM-kv2kn 3 жыл бұрын
@@DrawAndErase I don't think they are talking negatively of him. They just find it curious. When I was little I still remember when I saw my first asian person. I was fascinated and yell to my mom that I found a Chinese person. The man laughed and said hi to me. Just like the kid in this video yelled "it's a white person!". I got very excited and I was extremely happy for the rest of the day, to the point that I still remember today. There are different cultures and some are more spoken than others. I actually love that they get curious and speak their mind, you'll find some negative people like anywhere but mostly just innocent curiosity.

I went to my parents home country. Jamaica We bought bracelets in the marketplace and people were watching us. My dad had a local female walking with us too, talking about Jamaica, while eating fruit from the market. Leisure walking like you were. I took the bags, and camera from my distracted dad and tightened them to my body. He laughed at me cuz I was worried. Not long after that I felt hands touching my pants pockets and trying to grab the bags and the little bracelets we just bought, off my wrists. They got 2-3 bracelets that all. Thank God. They knew we were foreigners. Black vacation having Americans. Okayy?? 😳 // 🤣 You’re all having a “happy, money spending, white people day in *Africa* and some of them people will scorn you and want to do you bad or see it. Right when I’m typing this, I heard you say in the video that the guy took the drink and hit you. That’s what I’m saying homie!! You’re so cool but I’m so scared for you. Too comfortable. Motorcycle riding all alone. No baby Pleez don’t. Tanzania local people were nicer but it’s still terrifying to watch you there. I know you can understand what I’m saying. On behalf of your mom. Pleez be safer. …. Yes I’m black 🤣 God bless you. You’re cool. Good tidings!! Walk Good 🥃🥃

Response to @@mtt819 MTt. Crime in Jamaica is a result of what criminals there have done! Don’t be mad at me. It a reality ALL OVER THE WORLD. It’s very helpful that people who travel be made aware of dangers. You shouldn’t be angry with me giving him an example *in Jamaica. I feel your thinking is wrong. You would appreciate someone’s advice saving your skin too. // He even said it in his videos, what he heard from other Africans that can happen in there. Look at how he had his bag stolen and the bus company knew who did it and refused to do anything to help, likely from fear for themselves too. Jamaicans in the states often talk of crime rates there, and plenty white people still go. My white neighbor, every year. I didn’t do wrong with what I commented. People should be generally advised. What will you do to make things better in Jamaica for travelers ? People have been viscously cut down in the street. Being angry at me. Not right. My cousins just traveled and got married in Negril, Jamaica with lots of family that went with them. and someone I know just had relatives there for a honey moon. Plenty people still go to Jamaica, so don’t put scorn on me. It was kindly advise and I was speaking on the topic which occurs all over the world. God bless Jamaica and all the countries for better things! 💖🥃🥃💖 Brighter minds, good hearts, and mo money !!! Mad at me. 🧐 kyf // Don’t forget to add your favorite Jamaican spots to your comment. @@eskye4393 i doubt when people come to where you reside you speak about the bad areas with the same energy we all run come a farin(yes local spelling) and act as if we are in the promise land no one warns us about compton st louis baltimore atlanta our first instinct overseas is opportunity and prosperity when the reality is often times we turn a blind eye to how blessed our country is yes we arent perfect but our crime happens in controlled areas easy to be avoided by tourists if given the information once theyve landed not deterring them from wanting to take a flight. And our crime is enabled by the politicians yes we all know this the criminals only operate with the green light from them and only get dealt with when they pass their place but we are a beautiful nation crippled by corruption and brain drain and unlike many places are not a dangerous place for persons to visit.

Good advice. A lot of the people in dirt poor areas he is going to will resent the "rich" white American coming along taking videos of them as if they were some spectacle in a zoo - I know he doesn't think or behave like that intentionally but that's the way a lot of these folks will see it - most will prob. smile and not say anything offensive but if one local starts on you, you will be surprised how many will suddenly jump in and make their suppressed resentment known ... some of what you are doing is naive to say the least and extremely risky at times, and bringing a girl around with you like this is irresponsible... remember too, unfortunately not all parts of the world view Americans in a completely favorable light! More caution advised...

You are trying to say nice things about such places & people but actually there is NOTHING nice there. Even people you want to talk are asking "money" without any reason. Even kids doing that. I feel that if you are "white", automatically you are a "bank" and "have to" give them some money. Around the lake is terrible. I am sure they "blame" white people to live in such conditions. But, it is not real. They should take of lakeside, clean it and develop it to make it one of the best tourist spots. But they do not. And it the end, one of them stole your drink. He is a thief. Again, you are trying to say something good about such places but unfortunately there is NOTHING good. I am sorry but this is what i see, what i feel... Please be carefull...i mean it... PS : People from Africa, you may find my words "arrogant" or "bad". But please think twice before saying it. You should take care of your neighbourhood (slums) and you should STOP asking money from "white" people.
