The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) has given President Cyril Ramaphosa until the 24th of this month, just before Christmas to respond to their memorandum of demands.
The Civic Organisation marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to highlight pressing social issues that are affecting South Africans.
One of them is illegal migrants which they claim are putting immense pressure on the country’s social systems while South Africa is grappling with its own challenges like high crime, unemployment, and poverty.
They started their action from Burgers Park to the Union Buildings where they echoed their frustrations. The high electricity costs were one of their agenda points.
Sanco Gauteng Provincial Chairperson, Abram Mashishi, joins us now.
