Hey I really want to see you and Dave get that Roper GTK-18 running again, I love those tractors. I bought one In July of last year and fixed it up and got it running and I’ve been using it ever since, works amazingly well. Very well built machine

Reminds me of my dads 92 lawn boy that I’ll be replacing tomorrow with a Honda. I read somewhere these saber edge mowers are like the modern lawn boys, which would make sense cause lawn boys (were) heavy duty commerical/professional landscaper mower. Sad they don’t make them like they used to. Best of luck!!

Sabre Edge is that company that started off making lawn-boy clone mowers in about 2011 when they acquired the tooling from somewhere. Now I think the majority of their machines are just no-name Chinese mowers with fairly decent engines. We have a couple of pro-cutter dealers around here who carry them.

The year of manufacture is always on the sticker on the gas tank on these 140cc briggs

I’ve had two of those Briggs & Stratton engines the same exact ones that have blown up twice I finally replaced it with the Honda and I haven’t had a single issue

That's the no oil change Briggs engine that they don't want you to change.. Just add...... Lol.. Seen a few that got sloppy or siezed. It was probably stored up on end and loaded up the muffler.

its either bad piston rings or too much oil not enough for it to hydrolock but enough for it to smoke
