Very cool! Getting ready to make a SF Bastion staff, this seems like a better solution than their normal coupler. Thanks!

Nice dude. I really like the feature on that. I have the static Sabertrio Coupler and it gave me issues when I had them connected. Wish they had something like this that works for most Sabers…..

Hey man could you drop me a link to this exact one you bought? I only find a much more expensive version :( And just like you I won’t really do any crazy stuff with it, just want it to function properly and that’s it
@johnnykestis40442 жыл бұрын
Hey! Heres the exact one i bought: saberforge.com/collections/adapters/products/copy-of-quick-release-staff-coupler-15lbs This is the 15 lb one. There's also a 65 lb one that is a bit harder to couple together. At the time of me posting this comment, both are sold out.

Might be a dumb question but can this be function be used mid-duel, or would one still have to reconnect the actual pommels of a given pair of sabers?
@johnnykestis40442 жыл бұрын
Hey its not a dumb question at all! It can be used mid duel. Each end of this coupler is like a pommel. The electronics stay in the hilt (unlike other couplers).

@@johnnykestis4044 thanks! Currently have a project on the drawing board for a pair of custom sabers and that was a crucial part of the idea, because while I want to get better with a dualsaber I tend to be better with single sabers, and so being able to switch in a bind is gonna be useful

Hey do you know the thread diameter of the coupler sides?
@crushermag3 жыл бұрын
i was looking for an explantion thanks :) also could you do a saber spin followed by a quick release? if its not too much trouble
@johnnykestis40443 жыл бұрын
So I might make a video demoing it when I got both sides installed. However, when spinning it before, the coupler held up nicely.

this thing seems so practical. would it be possible for you to send me the thread specs? I don't have the budget for a SaberForge dual lightsaber but i've got my eyes on a pretty cool pretty cheap one and i'm wondering if it'll fit lmao (and worst case scenario there has to be fittings i can use...)
@johnnykestis40442 жыл бұрын
Hey, so I am not sure how to get the thread specs. All I know is that it will fit the apprentice, elite, and asp parts. Maybe the eco as well (I don't know if they have updated the eco to accept it)
@K0wp3R2 жыл бұрын
@@johnnykestis4044 i should be able to make up some decent measurment if you can give me the threaded part lenght , diameter and the number of line you can count... that'd help a lot. I know it fits most saber forge models but i'm not buying lightsabers off of them, found cheaper that suits my needs
@canisarcani Жыл бұрын
@@johnnykestis4044they have an eco elite line, which confuses me a bit. what exactly is the difference between an eco elite saber vs the same saber in elite form. i bought the eco elite cleric for example, and all the description says is that it uses different electronics... does that mean they just used the same saber, but with cheaper electronics? or is there some major differences in the sabers construction too?
@johnnykestis4044 Жыл бұрын
@@canisarcani unfortunately, I do not know the answer to that.

I know we touched on it a bit in the vid but, anyone know if this is compatible with LGT/darkwolf sabers? Thanks!

It is not compatible. Only with certain sabers/parts from saberforge

hey i got the coupler and am trying to adjust the lock positions with the retention screw, but when I unscrew it it still doesn't move around. I'm curious as to how you did it
@johnnykestis40442 жыл бұрын
When you loosen the retwnsion screw, the inner parts will rotate. You may need yo remove the retention screw completely.
