It was autumn of 1991. I was forth grade pupil, and we had gym class. I was one of the smallest and skinniest boys in class, also one of the slowest. Boys were split in two groups, and each one of us had to race somebody else from second group. My opponent was one boy who was tallest in class. I knew I had no chance, and by the laughing comments others thought that too. But, I said to myself, why shouldnt I at least try - I only have to stay focused on my path (I wont look at him or anyone else), and, I will play "Saber Rider" song in my head. I left him for at least 3 meters on race which was about 30 meters long. That was probably my own first life victory. And I remember it till this day. :)

everyone is going on about the solo guitar, i mean i love it too, but give some credits to the man singing the song. He has the best voice. Also the Lyrics are incredible. Even if it wasn't an anime music but a normal song, it would hit the bilboards for sure. Such music man such music, still moves me to the stars. I can listen this for a million times and wouldn't be bored for sure.

Oh god. I remember watching this cartoon show as a kid. The theme song is kick ass and even though it's probably the longest opening theme ever for a cartoon show, you don't feel like skipping it cos the music is so cool. Fun fact: Saber Rider was completely cut into pieces and rearranged for the western market, not only the story has changed a lot but also references to substance abuse removed, episodes switched, scenes rewritten etc. For example, in the original series, the Outriders die when shot, they don't get teleported away.

The original Japanese serie is clearly for adults with all that dying stuff etc. The american Version has fantastic Music and Sounds but is much more Kids friendly
