SABER TIGER was formed in 1981.
Though the band has changed members so many times; there are 30 or more past members, Akihito Kinoshita has managed it over 25 years with iron will.
We understand that their history is divided into some periods by members or sound style.
The first half of 90's is called Kubota era or Quintet era.
In this era, they created the three original albums while they released the two other compilation albums with old members.
"TIMYSTERY" is the 3rd album of Kubota era.
"Bad Devotion" is the 7th track of it.
"TIMYSTERY" featured an ultra-progressive aspect of them, though A.Kinoshita also favorites straight-ahead metal.
"Bad Devotion" is the one of the most progressive metal song of them, which represent well Kinoshita's mechanical but organic riff composing.
The lyric is about a woman who became unbearable vain daily life anymore.
She had no hope, and maybe felt lonly.
So she had longed for a savior to take her to any better place.
For not only she but also we all are the seeker of faith.
We need something to believe, someone who ease our pain.
We can never live without love.
So even though we notice there was a lie or our devotion is wrong, we try to believe savior's coming, and keep waiting.
